Grayson's Curvy Girl

Dinner With the Jones pt.1

It had been a couple of days since the BBQ, and I am spending the whole day with Liam since we finally got another waitress/bartender.

As me and Liam was coloring in his coloring books after reading a book, I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and I looked over and saw Grayson walking up the stairs,

G--"I am sorry to come up Sara was swamped and said I could just come on up to ask you the question I have for you" I nod and motioned for him to come over and when he does he sits on the other side of Liam and grabs a coloring page and a blue crayon and starts coloring and we did that in silence for a minute until he asked me,

G--"I was told to ask you to come to my home to eat dinner, my dad is back and my mom is excited about the dinner you and her talk about" right as I was about to answer my newer phone rings and I looked at the number and see it was my ex and I decline it and he calls right back and I cancel it again and turning it on silent and looked up at him,

A--"I would love to come over to have dinner, is that okay Liam?" All he does is nod his head at me and Grayson get up and ruffles Liams hair saying goodbye to him which Liam smiles and says bye then Grayson looks at me and said,

G--"Bye see you in a little while for dinner" I smiled and nodded and watched him leave and I looked down at my watch to see it is already two in the afternoon, so I get Liams writing papers I buy for him to learn on, and I gave him a pencil and asked him to write his full name once he finished there I gave him a couple of other words that we have been working on writing, he is so smart for his age he makes me so proud but also nervous because next month on the 14th he starts kindergarten and my mom heart can barely handle it.

Once we were done, we both took showers thankfully Sara came up to watch him for me while I showered then we finally started getting ready in our good clothes, him in a black t-shirt, boot cut jeans, and his Durango American flag print cowboy boots that he picked out that he wanted for his birthday last year. When he was done, I asked him to go color or play while I went to get ready also and he did what I asked.

I walked to my closet and grabbed out the army green version of the dress I wore to their BBQ the other day quickly putting it on, putting my wedges I wore the other day as well then walked over to my bathroom and seen that my hair was almost fully dry now, so I just dry it the rest of the way before adding some loose curls to my hair. Once I was done with my hair I moved on to makeup, I only added a little bit of eyeliner, mascara, foundation, then to finish it off I put some clear lip gloss on. I ran my eyes over myself and when I was semi satisfied with my look, I walked out to the living room.

Me and Liam after grabbing what we wanted or needed we walked down the stairs and see that Sara was still cleaning up,

A--"Do you need help cleaning up?"

S--"Nope I just need to finish wiping down the counter then I am officially done." earlier when I asked Sara to watch Liam while I took a shower, she had asked to close the bar earlier since we were going to dinner, and I agreed since the new girl couldn't do it alone. When she was done, we walked out of the bar she climbed on her bike while I buckled Liam in and got myself situated in the car then we both took off me following her to make sure I have the directions right.

When we pulled up to Grayson's house, I looked at yet again in awe, it was really beautiful I hope one day I can provide Liam with something this great and not live above my bar forever Liam saying something brings me out of my thoughts,

L--"Grayson! Mommy can I get out and go talk to Grayson?" I looked back at him smiling at him nodding my head yes. Once he was talking to Grayson while he was doing something to the bike, I grab my stuff and then get out of my car and was walking up to Liam,

A--"Honey why don't we leave Grayson alone he looks busy fixing his bike" Liam looked sad but when Grayson spoke up, he smiles large once again,

G--"He is not bothering me one bit; Liam how was your day."

L--"Me and mommy made breakfast together, watched the green man, read a book, colored, and I wrote my name, my whole name!" he said so excitedly, and Grayson smiled at him and said,

G--"You should show me how good you write sometime."

L--"Can I now?"

A--"Lia-" I was caught off by Grayson,

G--"If it is okay with you mom I am done for right now." I looked at both of them, they both are looking at me with a face on and when I sigh and cave saying they could they both high fived each other then took off into the house. Sara looked at me and smiled following them into the house which I did to. When I walked in Grayson was sitting down a paper and a pencil and Liam started to write his name out on the piece of paper,

G--"Here let me help you, your L should be facing this way can you try it that way?" Liam nodded and took the pencil back and he wrote it perfectly and he got up and jumped up and down in excitement, my phone rang, and I silenced my phone when I heard Violet say loudly coming out form the kitchen,

V--"Is that Liam and Addison already?" when she walked out she smiled at me then Liam ran to her and showed her his writing,

L--"Look aunt v I wrote my name by myself."

V--"We'll let me see that" she gets it from him and looks at it then smiles,

V--"Well that is very good Liam I think that might call from an early cookie desert how about you ask your mom" he turns around and said over and over,

L--"Please, please, please"

A--"Yes as long as you say please and thank you."

L--"I will" he takes off towards the kitchen while I sit down beside Sara and Grayson was still sitting down at the table and was looking down at his phone. When he looked up I quickly looked away from him down to my lap and I felt my phone buzz again and I hit the candle button once again tired of him calling me.

V--"Dinner is ready!" With that we all walk into the dining room and sit down.
