The flare goes up, and I'm fucking devastated. Did anyone know how to contact his wife? With a heavy sigh, Jason hits the detonator, the cocoons alight with flames, and the vampires shriek in pain and fury. Still, we don't move. We wait. As we should. Merwin would wait for us.
"Come on, buddy," Jason murmured as he searched through the scorched vampires below. "Lemme hear your voice."
"Answer me, dammit!" Joey swore as he tried his radio.
We were met with dead silence, aside from the fire and the sounds of burning vampires.
