Y/n had a huge crush on the One and only Hermione Granger. Now the two had a good friendship but the girl didn't know anything about her best friend having a crush on her...

now what would you expect?
typically either one would have a crush or maybe she would know

Y/n was scared that if she would to tell Hermione then they would end off on bad terms or maybe even speak to each other . I mean the girl wouldn't probably thought about her best friend having a crush on her?

Later on that evening...

As the two girls were in the library studying together , Y/n had zoned off thinking about wether she should just tell her right now or wait until
She was fully ready

But the nerves just kept kicking in so Y/n would just wait

"Ermm, are you alright y/n?" Spoke the voice of Mione which caused y/n to go back

"Sorry about that" slight smiled y/n. Hermione ignored it and went back to studying

"soo... do you have eyes on someone?" nervous Y/n asked which made Mione's head tilt upwards and raised her eyebrow

"now why in Merlin's name would you ask that?" Laughed Hermione

Y/n shrugged her shoulders and said "I have no clue I'm just that bored" playfully rolled her eyes

"well .. nevermind" Said Hermione looking down at her book.

3 months later

Y/n was wondering the halls deciding if she should go to the Common room and sit there or stay wandering the halls

Obviously she chose to still wander around the halls since there wasn't much to do

"what should I do?" Said y/n in her mind she stood there for about a minute before she continued walking .

Y/n was ready to now tell Hermione about the way she felt for her she just wanted the girl to be hers already . Y/n thought about it and decided she was going to tell her as soon as possible. I mean she loved that girl

But Y/n wanted to make it special so she thought of an idea and went straight to her dorm.

30 minutes had passed and Y/n got something sorted out. But before anything she wrote a lovingly letter if you would consider it that way.

Here's what the letter said :

To my best friend, my other half. Before I begin this I couldn't wait anymore to tell you this from
The bottom of my heart Mione. The day that I met you we connected like nothing else and since that day I've loved and enjoyed having you as my friend . As the years went by we grew up together , by that meaning we had our first girl talk, cooking , talking about people you didn't like etc.. I've learned slowly that I started to have feelings for you , I'll do anything for you Mione. You mean so much to me and I just wanted to let you know that I love you so much , I wouldn't want to be with anyone else except you. The way your smile lights up when we are laughing or when you stare at me with those beautiful bright eyes. The way your hair moves when the wind blows. The way you laugh when something is really funny, the way you hug me whenever I'm feeling down. Your personality is everything and you're different from others may I mention you are so so beautiful. You've always been there for me and I couldn't thank you more. I love you Hermione Granger and it's okay if you don't feel the same way.

Y/n smiled at the way she wrote it and tomorrow she would give it to her.

The next day was here

As y/n told Hermione to meet her somewhere she waited for her by the Astronomy tower

There was Y/n standing and waiting for her to come and there she was

Y/n smiled at the site of her making her way towards her. As Hermione was now in the sight of Y/n

"what brings me here?" Questioned the girl as she tucked a strand of hair behind her Ear

Y/n handed her some chocolates with flowers and a plushie including the letter she wrote . Gladly Hermione received them with an "awww" expression

"Omgg Y/nnn" Said Hermione giving her a hug. The two of them stood there hugging for about a minute before Hermione pulled away

"Hermione whenever you get a chance read the letter but I want to be able to say this in person" smiled Y/n

Hermione nodded slowly "go ahead" she said

"I can't wait any longer anymore so hermione I really like you .. but not in a friend way. You're everything to me and I just want to be able to be in your arms everyday  a-and tell you on how much I love you.  I want to be able to call you mine and I don't want anyone else expect you. I-im sorry I'm so bad at this" stuttered Y/n bettor she continued

"You might hate me after this but I just couldn't hold
It in anymore im sorry" said y/n swallowing the feeling of sobbing

Now Hermione on the other hand stood there in shock she didn't know she felt this way . She looked at Y/n who was looking to the side

Hermione shed tears and began ....

"I don't know how to take it in, I'm sorry y/nn but I have my eyes on someone else. I'm so sorry"...
