Chapter 5: The poem off beginnings.

The fight between Y/n and the two Holy Knights continued for a while. She tried her best to avoid the sword one was using. But one time the miss judged the timing of her move, this resulted in her shoulder getting slashed.

Y/n suddenly awoke for her trance by a death curling scream from... Elizabeth? Suddenly she saw Diane and Meliodas before her, and Meliodas' hilt was bloody. And on Y/n's shoulder was a big, bloody and burnt wound. Y/n lost blood pretty quickly and now Meliodas and Diane started to attack her. "What are you two doing?" Y/n asked and did her best to dodge. While she was she heard them calling her a Holy Knight? Maybe everything Y/n saw was a trace state? Maybe Diane and Meliodas are seeing the same things she saw? But from their perspective?

Y/n did her best to hide and soon the two seemed to have lost her. She could still see Elizabeth and Hawk in the corner of her eyes. Y/n took out a role of bandages from a pouch she had and started to patch up her shoulder. But the wound would definitely hurt for a while. "Lady Y/n?" She could here Elizabeth call, not sure where Y/n had gone. Y/n did her best to avoid the gaze of Diane or Meliodas and went to Elizabeth.

"What happened?" Elizabeth asked and examined Y/n's shoulder. "You three went crazy, why are you attacking each other?!" Hawk said. "I think we where out in a trance state where we saw each other as this Holy Knight called Ruin." Y/n explained. "Now that enough!" Elizabeth screamed at Diane and Meliodas which seemed to take them out of the trance, at least for now.

"You have to stop, you have already hurt Y/n!" Elizabeth continued and the two looked over at Y/n and her bloody shoulder. Then, Meliodas looked down at his bloody hilt, he looked mortified at what he had done. "What are you doing here?" Dine asked. "How did Y/n even get hurt? Where's the holy knight?" "Uh, hey, you're right." Meliodas said and looked around. It seems he was trying to figure out that, and why Y/n's blood was on his sword.

"Poor big lady, are you all right?" A small kid said and ran up to Diane. "Yeah. You okay?" Dine asked and bent down a little. "You're still here." "Yeah" the kid said, and then there was that ringing again. Y/n did her best to fight it of and it seemed to have worked, for her. But not for Meliodas and Diane. "Their gone again..." Diane said. "That holy knight!" Meliodas said. "You're hiding everyone from me again!" Dine said and striked Meliodas down in the air. It cracked the ground a bit.

"I'm so scared! I don't wanna die, please." The kid said and ran up to what Y/n would assume to be his father. Then there was that ringing again and Y/n had to try and keep it out. "We'll protect you." Elizabeth said. "I swear, even if it means trading my life for yours!" "You...you'd do that?" The father asked. "Yes!" Elizabeth answered. "Touching to see a princess who actually cares." Elizabeth and Y/n turned around and saw a lady covered in big armor. Y/n stood in front of Elizabeth as a form of shield. "But is that truly what you would do, or an empty promise?" The bug lady swung some sort of whip and out from a tree a giant swarm of bugs came out. "I don't believe it. Another Holy Knight." Hawk said, one bugs landed on his nose and Hawk screamed in fear. "Storm Rondo!" The bug lady said. "Now, my little beetles, their flesh is yours to pierce whit your sharp wings and horns!"

"No, I'm scared. Don't let it get me." The kid said and started to run. "That kids whining is really annoying me." The bug lady said. "You die first." The bugs started to swarm around the poor kid and started to eat of his flesh. "Let me see, 'Even if I have to trade my life for yours.' What's that the phrase?" The bug lady asked. "For all your brave platitudes, you never believed you'd actually have to follow through whit it, did you?"

"Oh, that's sick." Hawk said. Y/n was about to step in until Elizabeth took initiative instead. And sense Y/n wanted Elizabeth to prove herself, Y/n let her. But if Elizabeth was in any harms way, she would step in immediately. "No, Elizabeth!" Hawk said.
