We are taught to be ashamed,
For what happens downstairs once a month.
That some people are disgusted by the mention of it.
It has nicknames,
Red headed friend,
Aunt Flo,
Red wave.
All to keep menstruation a secret to keep those uncomfortable pleased.
Let me educate people on their bodies,
And why it should never be a secret.
