I'm currently on a three way call with Heather and Anna, comforting Anna about her parents divorce

"on the bright side, you get two of everything?" I try reason as Anna just lets out a sigh

"also can i like hang with you guys tomorrow?" she mumbles

"of course!" Heather intervenes, "but i don't know if Brandt and Dustin will like Maya sitting with us" Heather cringes remembering the bitch out

"oh uh we're not currently talking" Anna says as me and Heather just look at eachother with wide eyes

"Oh Heathers mom just called, said she has to use the computer" I say ready to gossip with Heather

"Okay mom! Sorry we gotta get off the phone so it doesn't mess with the computer" Heather fake yells and reasons as she hangs up the phone

"bye Anna" I say before hanging up

"Maya and Anna aren't friends?" Heather says shocked

"they were literally calling themselves sisters yesterday" I roll my eyes

"you don't think she'll like.. flirt with Alex tomorrow right?" Heather bites her lip

"oh she definitely will, but don't worry" I shrug"i'll say something if she gets too intense with it"

"i don't care if he gets with someone else" heather shakes her head as i look up at her

"he's just been the only constant thing about me at school. It's always been heather and alex" she shrugs as i just lower my eyebrows

"i mean Heather and Jess have been a thing since second grade but it's different" Heather says as her cheeks flush

"Heaths are you gay or something?" I laugh, meaning it jokingly

"no!" she says immediately defensive, "that's disgusting and not normal." She glares at me

my mouth drops a bit as my eyebrows raise, is she fucking gay? No way Heathers like.. what

"If your gay it's like.. fine, we have like 4 other gay people in our grade" I trail off looking at her confused

I internally laugh as she gets defensive again, i did not expect that

"Hey Anna" I greet as she sits down next to me in the cafeteria

"Hey" she smiles

"I hope your feeling better after last night" I frown while tilting my head

"oh yeah, i talked to Heather this morning" She nods while sticking a straw in her milk carton

"Heathers great at cheering you up" Jess adds while smiling at Heather who just smiles back tightly

"Miss Ashmore is a bitch" Alex sighs while sitting down across from me

"What'd she do now?" I laugh as Anna zones out looking at him

"Gave me and Brandt detention slips for no reason" he rolls his eyes while stealing one of Becca's chips

"they're mine!" Becca snatches the bag of chips
