Dene Lynn is an Indigenous storyteller native to the Treaty 8 region of Canada. She writes everything from swoon-worthy sports romance to YA romantasy. But you won't find the latter on Wattpad. Queen of Thieves, a once Robin Hood fanfic that earned her a spot as a BCM mentee in 2021, acquired her agent late last year and is officially out on submission. While the story didn't win a Watty, it took Dene further than she could have imagined, and she hopes to pay it forward by teaching a hopeful mentee everything she knows.

In 2022, Dene's article 'Heart Medicine' was published in YMM Magazine. She was later asked to adapt one of her short stories to film for the Connection to the Land series. THE WIDOWMAKER premiered at the Buffy's Award Show in October 2022. You can find the links for both in her bio.

Dene draws inspiration from her life experience as an Indigenous woman, her studies at the University of Alberta and pieces of her Norwegian-English ancestry. Dene is OBSESSED with music, and when she's not writing, she can be found gallivanting about the woods with a camera in hand, mind-mapping her next big fantasy adventure.
