"Her name is Euphemia Arcturus Potter," Jesse smiled as she rest her head tiredly against the pillow and fluttered her eyes. Everyone stood at the doorway with tears in their eyes. Sirius was the first to step forward and look at the unbelievably small baby girl in James' arms. "She's beautiful Jesse, so is her name," he smiled. "And congratulations mate," he smiled, softly punching James in the arm before he took the girl in his arms and fawned over her. "Oh I am going to spoil you to death," he smiled sweetly. Remus took her into his arms. "Insane to think you two created something as beautiful as her," Remus said, making Jesse laugh. Peter nervously smiled at her in Remus' arms. "She's so little, she's precious," he said, too scared to pick her up himself. "I can't- just- give me a minute," Carter said, fanning her tears as she moved behind Blue. The brunette took Effie in her arms. "As far as babies go I quite like you," Blue said, wiggling a finger at the girl. Carter took her in her arms and smiled. "Fuck," she breathed in adoration. "I mean- oh fuck it she can't understand it yet," she tried to correct.

"How are you?" Carter asked, standing next to Jesse as James wrapped Effie. She put a comforting hand on Jesse's shoulder. "Fucked, this was exhausting. I'm done now, right?" She called the last part to her husband who snorted. "Almost, Just another 18 years to go angel," he laughed over his shoulder. "You probably want some rest, yeah?" Blue asked. "Yeah," she hummed as James came over and pet her hair, pressing a sweet kiss to her forehead. "Alright, we'll head home and clean up, we'll be back tomorrow," Sirius warned as everyone said goodbye, mostly to baby Effie.

As everyone made their way back to the Potters' they thought long and hard about everything that had happened. They'd lost so many friends, family members. People that a few years ago they were in school with. Life had changed so much and yet here they were, just appreciative to be around to welcome the new addition to the Marauders.
