And I guess it is supposed to be this way,
That I am never someone to be chosen
But someone who is the second option
Someone, who you call after another person denied your invite
Someone, who you text only when you're bored
Someone, who you talk to, because you are waiting for somebody else
Someone, who you remember only when others couldn't devote their time to you
Someone, who you use for whatever purpose because the one you truly wanted wasn't there
Someone, who you decide to be with just because your person didn't love you back
Someone, who you spend time with wishing she was somebody else
Someone, who you call a friend, but never "She is my home"
Someone, who is just never enough,
Someone, who is so tired of fighting for the place in somebody's life when others get it just for who they are
And maybe, she, too, will one day be someone that is chosen,
Even if it is too late.
