To anyone who finds this journal, my name is Noah Timely, engine driver on the North Western Railway, I work alongside Bertie Heathcliff, who is the fireman, we call him Bert for short, and we both drive the Railway's Number 3 engine, Henry, who I'm sure you've heard about.
Recently, there have been reports of mysterious figures around the island. When approached, these figures would retreat and wouldn't be seen. Most of the sightings usually come from Henry's Forest, though there have been other parts of the island where the figures were seen. The railway board has stated that staff must be careful around the figures and to report anything strange to Sir Topham Hatt, the head of the railway.
What else? Henry's doing fine, he says that the figures could be a huge problem but they aren't doing any harm to the railway. He's currently in the shed resting for the Flying Kipper tonight, I'll make sure to write in this in case anything strange happens.
