Chapter 18: getting to see her

Ashton's POV:
I  asked the lady at the front desk where Riley Irwin was and she told me she was in room 238 and she just got out of surgery, by surgery she meant they had to give her 4 stitches in her forehead. she was still unconscious. I went over grabbed izzie and headed for room 238. when I got there she had an air tube in her mouth. she had a bandage wrapped around her forehead and apparently they had some of the same type blood as her's in the hospital because she had a blood IV tap. but her favorite night gown was sitting on the chair beside her.... covered in blood, and I couldn't help but think this was all my... all my fault. I mean if I was just there I could have caught her stopped her from falling but I wasn't. I wasn't there when she needed me most and I thought back to the time when she was having second thoughts about the babies......
*Flash back to chapter 14*
"Why not princess I can get us a big mansion and a maid so that my baby never has to clean."
She smiled and said.
"That sounds awesome but.... I don't know, I just don't really want things to change I love touring the world with you and............... I'm starting to get second thoughts about having these babies."
I starred at her in utter shock and said.
"What do you mean babe, we are having twins! If you want I can take a few months off of tour to help take care of them and everything, listen to me there is nothing I could tell you that is more important then these next few words. these babies mean the world to me and I love you and them if you want me to take time off the band I can do that for you and for them! I love you!"
She was shocked and said.
"Ashton, that was exactly what I needed to hear thank you, I love you too."
*end of flashback*
Now she's laying here in a hospital bed because I wasn't there when she needed me most like I promised I would be. that's it I'm never leaving her side again I'm staying here till after the babies are born the guys are just going to have to manage a couple of shows without me...... Gosh how am I going to tell them.
