THEY COULDN'T MAKE it.
After everything they did to get to the Ark in time, they still couldn't make it.
And now they're going to die.
They're going to die, and Devlin hasn't even gotten the chance to burn down the TVA yet.
The Asgardian stands a few feet away from Loki and Sylvie, his back to the two of them. He can hear them quietly conversing, but doesn't pay attention to what they're saying.
His head hangs, arms folded across his chest. His coat is long gone, having discarded it when they were running to the Ark. He wishes he hadn't, he realizes, as he shivers a bit from the cold.
Devlin desperately avoids looking up at the sky, because despite its beauty, it was an ever-present reminder of what's to come.
