Today is the day my father took me in

My father, though he is a man of the cloth, he had a woman and offspring, as clergymen were to do in this era. Though he was not allowed a wife under the law, he kept a mistress of highborn origins named Lucrezia, who acted as the cardinal's de facto lawful wife. Meanwhile, his four children, who were born out of wedlock, were essential as his legitimate offspring. Among the four of them, Isabella and y/n were the middle children, who were also renowned as the fairest ladies of the capital and the cardinal's pride and joys. Meanwhile, the child who was born between the cardinal and a maid was an illegitimate child to the other four but due to her mother's lowborn status, was banished from the cardinal's manor and sent to live on a farm.
