CHAPTER 4

Many changes has occurred in hastinapur in the absence of Rekha. Satyavati who later realised her absence stayed low without taking her powers back in fear of her returning back. Though six months later when she failed to show up ,she question bhisma of her absence which he revealed everything awakening Satyavati the power hungry woman who took back her position as the Rajmata.

Months passed and Vichitravirya who had abandon alcohol in the fear of his aunt turn to it again, Ambika and Ambalika started facing the wrath of satyavati and a hot headed Amba immense herself in ensuring the safety of her daughter who faced death trap many times. Royal family broke again , everyone started minding their own while bhisma turn completely into Rajmata puppet.

The citizens lost their belief on their leadership for none was their to solve their problem even though Bhisma tried ,Rajmata was the one with final say. Their cries were never heard and they stopped approaching the royals with their problem. It's like  nature felt their pain, since the ones who were supposed to aid them have lost their path. The king was enjoying worldly pleasures forgetting his duty, Rajmata pushing her daughter-in-laws in giving her heirs while Bhisma could do nothing rather than watch the doom of his father ones prosperous kingdom.

Not long a tragedy struck the Royal family by killing the last kuru descendant of Satyavati and Shantanu leaving behind two widows with no heir behind. It was a black day in the royal family while the citizens celebrated inwardly knowing Bhisma being the only surviving child will sit on the throne and look after them. The last rite of the fallen king was conducted and chaos arose knowing the throne was vacant.

Rajmata revealed about her son whom she birth before her marriage to Shantanu revealing the late king was aware of him and accepted him as his son. Though since he was a sage and prefer his simple life than politics , Satyavati ask for permission to invite him so that he can perform niyoga with the two widows in that way the throne won't lack an heir and they will be continuation of kuru dynasty.

Since their was no objection ,she sermon her son  Ved Vyas immediately she was permitted. Ved Vyas who just came from performing a heavy penance from long, started his journey immediately he got his mother message. On arriving in hastinapur ,he was informed every event that took place and the reason of him being invited which he agreed telling his mother to prepare the widows and send them in his chamber one after the other.

Since the widows were informed earlier and ordered by Rajmata to prepare themselves,Ambika was send in who was disgusted by seeing the sage appearance since all his face was covered with hair and so was he dirty which made her close her eyes during the process while Ambalika paled the moment he saw the sage. Ved Vyas informed the Rajmata everything who was mad on knowing the first heir will be born blind due to Ambika mistake thus ordering her to start the process again.

Ambika send her personal maid in her place which even though known to Ved Vyas still did the process which turned successful thus her child earning a boon of being most knowledgeable from him. He informed Rajmata of the betrayal conducted by the elder daughter-in-law and even the child to be born from the maid having no defect.

Months passed and the 3 princes were born. Dhristhara being born the eldest was born blind ,2nd prince pandu was born with a weak health and a pale appearance while the 3rd prince born healthy but can't ascend the throne since he was born from a maid. The princes grew under the watch of their elders, Pandu loved archery more, Vidur enjoyed doing research in the library while Dhristhara being the eldest work on making his other senses active since he knew being the eldest he will sit on the throne.

On the other side the gods were suffering due to the power of tapasya of a soul in Kailash. They cried and prayed to Vishnu dev to save them who send them to Mahadev and Devi Parvati who have the solution, for the power grew intense. Bhumi dev who due to adharma being conducted with the immortals and mortals started sinking adding to that soul power the weight became heavy and could no longer bear it.  she joined the gods in pleading  Kailash couples.
