Awoken once again not with chains but a heavy layer of warmth

For a long while I left my eyes shut falling closer in Eden

afraid to open them to face reality, too scared to find this a dream I keep my eyes close. I want to stay here in this warm place forever

Slowly falling back to sleep I hear small quiet footsteps

Irritated for letting my guard down I quickly setup but find that a stupid thing to do resulting in me just falling back down in exhaustion with a dizzy head

My savior quietly slides the door open, Peking his head through
blinking his eyes

I overlook his appearance, carefully taking in every little detail. His beautiful purple hair no longer flowing like a river, eyes darken not shining with the light I once saw

I already failed.

I reach my hand out signalling him to come closer

He does, very slowly.

Being so tired to even stand to comfort my friend he instead sits in front of my legs

Reaching my hand out again I pet his head then weakly slides it down caresses his face.

"What's..w..wron..g?" I remember my mother comforting me like this so as a friend I should step up and comfort him it's a shame my throat is so dry

He grabs my hand very gently slowly sinking his face into my weak hold

My friend is so gentle. only makes me feel more guilty

I got no answer so I ask another question a simple one

"W..what is ...yo..ur..name"surely this could be answered

"kunikuzushi" he says with his eyes closed, i rub my hand against his face feeling a little happy
