Kyudo is a sport where one draws a bow, to others it might just be a simple sport. Others however, take Kyudo far deeper.

To her, it was a sport she dedicated her life to. Where one shot could change the tide of a match, you either hit or miss with one chance.

Simply the thrill and challenge of it was maybe why she liked, no, loved Kyudo. To be able to rely on your team or have your team rely on you and resonate your bows was something that she couldn't explain.

Maybe that's why she played the Ochi, she wanted to have everyone's backs even if there was no one behind her.

 seriously, a girl?

Out of every sport she's tried, in Kyudo, neither or age mattered.

did you see her form? it was like watching an angel!

-

Everyone can watch you shoot, which is why nothing hurt more than witnessing one miss in the field.

 she missed

 so close!

'So close but I
still missed..'

'If I only had
one more chance..!'

Gritting her teeth, she could only watch as her arrow miss the target. Her sweat clung onto her clothes, she only stared forward and wait for her next turn as the other person also missed.

'Calm down..' She continued to reassure herself, watching the backs of her teammates as they took their shots. Closing her eyes, she tried to focus on before hearing something. 'That sound..'

The tsurune, a sound that a bow makes when you release an arrow. The sound was pleasing to her, it calmed her down.

 don't look at your opponent,
focus on your target

She heard her teacher's voice, taking a breath in and exhaling she takes her stance and draws her bow.

Everything around her seemed to disappear, the people, the sky, the noise were all drowned out. She took another breath and opened her eyes, release.

A sound resonated, her very first tsurune.

-

That was a memory she looked upon highly, even if her school lost by a point. She was happy to play Kyudo even if it meant the sacrifice of being shunned by people that looked down on it.

Or people who looked down on her.

When I first saw a clip of Tsurune, I absolutely fell in love omg. Same art style as Free! and it's wholesome (for the most part...)

I'm gonna be more focused on Stars Align then this though so this might sit here collecting dust considering this is unedited T- T
