It all started with a coffee.

A strong, dark coffee, and the coffee-colored girl that gave it to him.

She was strong too, but she saw her strength as a weakness.

He was also strong, but loss and grief had him wrapped in a mantle of hopelessness.

All she had to do was learn to use that strength to lift the mantle off him.

All he had to do was let her.

Disclaimer:

*Negro is just black in Spanish and where I live we say it affectionately to someone close to us, in part because of so much Cuban influence in our islands (they say 'mi negro' a lot there), and in part for being next to Africa and some habitants being dark-skinned :)
just saying because it may be used in the story a few times and because of that phrase up there, which are actually lyrics of the Cuban song "lágrimas negras".

Also, once again, I have familiarity with Cuban culture thanks to where I live and people I've met, but if any of y'all are from Cuba, you are more than welcome to help me out, like with expressions and other stuff!

In terms of where this story is headed, rn I have no idea, as you know, I'm swamped with projects and ongoing stories. But I couldn't resist outlining a basic concept for a bobby story ( ◜‿◝ )♡. No real plot has been outlined yet though.
