Carl Sagan never said "I don't want to believe, I want to know". The author of this sentence is Paulo Bittencourt, who wrote the books "Liberated from Religion" and "Wasting Time on God". The internet is full of quotes wrongly attributed to someone. This is one of the most famous misattributions.
