Dean's POV

When Castiel kept asking about the nightmares I was worried as I knew that he still had some jealousy about Y/N and I, but I hadn't had a chance to talk to him and convince him that I would never do that to him, or to Y/N. Sure, Y/N and I had grown closer, but I just wanted to keep her safe, she had become one of us, part of our family, and I wouldn't think of hurting them like that, either one of them.

Then Castiel had to ask about the nightmares and force, what would become an issue for him. I didn't know if it was better to just give in and tell Castiel, or maybe tell Y/N about the dreams, or if I should even lie. "What's happening in them is death. I'm seeing the same person killed over and over, different places, different deaths"

Castiel glared at me, then glancing over his shoulder he looked at Y/N then back at me, "Someone special?"

"You know it hurts more when it's family" I turned away from Castiel's piercing eyes, hoping he wouldn't realise my dreams where of Y/N.

"Sam?" Y/N asked and I stayed silent, "Oh Dean. That's awful. It hurts when it's someone you love. I used to have nightmares like that about Castiel"

I frowned at her and said, "Use to? Does that mean you don't have them anymore? How did you stop them?"

She walked back to Castiel and took his hand, "I laid down with the one I love and he scared away the bad dreams"

"I don't think that's going to work here" I said realising that Castiel wasn't going to allow Y/N to lay with me, even though I wasn't in love with her, could it possibly be that she would have to lay with me for me to get over these nightmares? Maybe it was part of the witch's spell?

Y/N chuckled and both Castiel and I looked at her. She cleared her throat and lost her smile, "Sorry, just had a thought of Sam's face if we go back and tell him he has to lay with you"

Castiel turned to Y/N, "You have to leave" he said abruptly.

"I will not send you both back to those nightmares" Y/N stated defiantly.

I stepped up to her and looked her in the eyes, "Its ok. Go"

"I will not" she turned her eyes, pleading with me, "Dean, I cannot"

"Oh sweetheart, I've been through worse than these nightmares. I'll be fine" I gave her a quick hug and then stepped back to face Castiel, "Are you ready to go another round of nightmares?"

Castiel's POV

Y/N hugged me again and I felt her squeezing tight, "Please wake up and come back to me Castiel" she said and my heart ached at the thought that I might not be able to wake at all.

She stepped back and looked at Dean, then back at me, "Wake up both of you" was the last comment she made before disappearing and leaving Dean and I alone in the bunker dream.

I wasn't sure if we could both stay here in the room, or if we would be thrown back into the nightmares that we were having, but I had read Dean's mind and I knew that he hadn't been dreaming about Sam being killed. He had been seeing Y/N, the same as I had.

"I know Dean" I stated accusingly as I turned to meet the green eyes, "I know it was Y/N you had the nightmares about"

He looked at me and sighed, "I'm not going to say anything about it Cas, because she's your girl, and I don't love her like that"
