THE RIFLE FELT heavy in his hands, Punz's breathing heavy. Blood was splattered on his attire, red soaking into the clean white and bright-blue uniform. Stray wisps of dirty-blonde hair fell over his icy-blue eyes, the man feeling the adrenaline fading.

He closed his eyes for a few moments, preparing himself to take in the gory mess around him. The stench of bodies slowly made its way into his nose, and Punz opened his eyes.

Punz heard a ping in his earpiece. His heart stopped, glitched holographics trying its best to aid his vision. He could see someone's outline through the walls, faint, but still noticeable enough. It was lime-green, he noticed the vague shapes of cat-ears-

Fruit.

Punz bolted towards him, past exhaustion immediately washing away, replaced with newfound energy—and worry. Panic seeped into his mind, he tried to run faster. He could see the cat-hybrid's outline grow just a bit clearer. Punz was getting closer. Please, please, please-
