26. The point of no return

In 3 days, in 3 days I have to leave him. I miss my home, my family, school, and my friends but I'll miss him more.
I don't know what I'm going to do but I'm worrying more about his reaction and how heartbreaking it's going to be for both of us. I prepared some food to be easier.
I was FaceTiming my family when he returned home, an hour earlier.

-hey. No reply, weird. Did Xavi let you leave earlier? Still no reply.
My phone rang, message

"Maddy she knows" -Victoria

Oh god.

-in how many days? Gavi finally spoke up. Was I going to lie to him? Was it easy for me to get away with a lie?

-3. I said and he bit his lip

-Oh wow. You're living in 3 days and I'm learning that now randomly

-I was going to tell you

-when?

-tonight.

-I learned it a few hours before ironic, isn't it?

-Pablo I'm so sorry

-Yes everybody is sorry that the love of my life is leaving in 3 days for good and I got to know it just now.

-I just wanted to spend time with you. I said tearing up

-I wanted to spend my life with you! It's not fair that you get to choose when you live or not and I get to learn it the last time and have to deal with it!

-I should have talked to you about it.

-yes but you were too selfish thinking about your life that you didn't even think about mine. You can't just enter someone's life and then leave like it's nothing

-I don't care, you didn't talk to me it's my time to not talk to you. He said angrily and I did as he said without saying anything.
He was mad and he was right for all of it so I had to deal with whatever he was feeling. I went to Victoria, upset and disappointed.
I couldn't explain the pain of heartbreak.

-sweetie, come here. She said opening her arms for me to cry

-I lost him and it wasn't because of the distance. I cried

-I'm sorry, I told Pedri and Sergio saw the message and commented on it when Pablo was present.
He immediately left practice and Pedri called me.

-I fucked up. I lost him forever

-He loves you he's just in pain.

The next day was moody.
I wasn't feeling myself. Pedri and Victoria went to visit Pedris's parents to give me some privacy. They were so kind and supportive.
I was thinking about packaging my things, but everything was at Pablo's house.
I fell asleep not being able to do anything. In the middle of the night, I heard a knock.
Was it Pedri and Victoria? So damn late? I opened it and saw Pablo. It was the last person I expected

-what are you doing here? I asked

-it's my best friend's house. He replied he must drink something.

-Pablo.

-don't talk, I just needed to see your face before you live me.

-I'm not leaving you.

-you are Maddy. He called me by my name.

-you saw my face. Pablo, you need to go back to your house and sleep. I said worrying about him

-yes but you're not there.

-do you want me there?

-yes of course, not now but tomorrow and forever.

-I'm not going to be here tomorrow baby. I said tearing up, not again Maddy.

-don't leave me, love. He said

-I don't want to.

-then don't. He cupped my face."Stay here with me"

-I can't Pablo. I have my life back in the USA

-what can I do to keep you here? Do you wanna get married? He said

-what? I laughed

-be my wife. Be with me forever. He said kissing my face

-Pablo, you're drunk.

-a little, but I need you to know that everything I say is true. I will do anything to keep you here, you belong here, you belong with me.

-I belong with you.

-what about your career

-I don't give a fuck about football as long as you're here. Baby, you're my home

-you're my home too Pablo.

-just think about it okay? you don't need to work until you find exactly the job you like here. We're going to be together, happy

-we'll talk tomorrow. I said sleepy.

Pablos pov
I wake up in my and Maddy's bed alone.
I remember that last night I got drunk and went to Pedri's house where she was staying.
I remember every detail of our conversation. She told me to go home and so I did because I was feeling dizzy.
I'm so mad at her but also disappointed. Was I not good enough?
Maybe if I was better she would choose to stay. I was waiting for her to call or even send me a text but she never did.
That's it, she was leaving and I had to deal with it.

This is huge, I'm so surprised and thankful.
I didn't feel like posting this part that soon but our story isn't finished yet...sadly.

We have another part for PART ONE to end. The next part is going to be interesting and not that emotional but prepare yourself for our story's plot twist.
