Pride month has officially started and we're excited to get you all involved with one of our favorite annual writing contests! Music is a strong inspiration for many cherished stories. Those that make us laugh and those that make us frustrated beyond belief. Don't forget the songs you can't help but dance to as well! Song Fiction, also known as songfic, is a type of story written based on or involving a song as the prompt.

Using a song of your choosing, write a story in 1,500 - 3,000 words that have LGBTQIAP+ characters, experiences, or themes, and embodies the message of #StoriesFullOfPride.

Must be between 1,500 - 3,000 words, leeway of 50 words (Wattpad's word counter).
Must be written in English as that's our only language capability at this time.
Your entry should have the tag: #StoriesFullOfPride
It can be written in any genre. However, we can't accept mature works in this contest.
Opened to everyone on Wattpad and your entries must be newly written and specific to this contest.
You may submit more than one entry, although please keep in mind that only one of your entries can win so as to give a chance to everyone.
Submit all entries between now and Friday, June 30th, 2023 at 11:59PM Eastern Time. This means that your story should be published on Wattpad and submitted through our #StoriesFullOfPride SongFict Writing Contest submission form by the deadline.
Your entry must be written based on one song and we ask that you don't write using multiple songs.
Your entry can be a standalone work or part of a collection/anthology. However, only standalone winning entries will be featured on our winner's reading list.
