Part 21

Betty started pacing as Alice looked at Hal before standing up and hugging her daughter

Alice- "it's okay, you just need to take a breather"

Polly- "everything will be oka-"

She was interrupted by a pounding on the door and it being opened by Julian Blossom

Julian- "where is she, mom's furious!"

Jason walked in slowly behind him and closed the door

Betty- "the hell, you can't just come in here like this Julian. Get the hell out!"

He huffed before bolting up the stairs with Betty, Polly and Jason running after him. He charged into Betty's room and saw Cheryl asleep on her bed

Julian- "what the hell happened to her?"

Betty- "just let her sleep, she needs it"

Jason looked at Polly as she stared at Betty

Julian- "we're taking her back to thornhill, Mom has some jobs for her"

Polly- "hell no, she's staying with us"

Julian- "she's our sister"

Betty- "yeah, maybe starting treating her like she is then we'll let her go with you"

Cheryl- (softly) "Betty? What's going on"

Betty looked at Cheryl who was slowly sitting up in bed. Betty immediately sat beside her and held her

Betty- "it's okay, I'm here"

Julian- "Cheryl, mom wants you home"

Cheryl tenced up in Betty's arms which of course meant she noticed

Betty- (whispered) "just relax, it's okay"

Cheryl breathed out as Polly stood in between the boys and the bed

Polly- "get the hell out"

Jason- "can you at least tell us what happened"

Betty- "nothing happened, she just told us about all the shit he and Penelope have done. and you just let it happen Jason"

Jason lowered his head and scratched the back of his neck but he still didn't say anything

Betty- (sighs) "please, just go"

Jason grabbed Julian's arms but he pulled it away

Julian- "I'm not taking the blame for her not being there"

Jason- "then I'll take it, let's just go"

Polly looked at Betty who was comforting a now crying Cheryl. the boys left and Betty pulled Cheryl on to her lap as cried harder

Betty- (softly) "it's okay, they're gone"

It wasn't long after they left that Cheryl was back to being sound asleep meaning but Betty didn't leave this time

Polly- "was she okay?"

Betty- (sighs) "I have no idea, I think so but she wasn't talking again"

Polly- "when she first came here she said that Toni found her on the bridge, did she introduce you to her? I wanna make sure at least one us knows her"

Betty- (nods) "she lives on the south side, she's really nice and cares about Cheryl"

Polly- "are they.. together?"

Betty- "I think so, I mean they shared a bed and kissed in front of me but I don't even think they know yet"

She looked down at the redhead asleep on her lap and played with her hair

Polly- "well you should invite her over, mom was saying that anything or anyone that makes her feel better should be with her at all times"

Betty- "I'm mainly worried about school, what is she going to do? She can't be the Vixens captain and everyone already shits on her"

Polly- "yeah I know but, everything will work out.. you'll see"

Betty- "but what if it doesn't? She can't do this alone"

Polly- "and she won't, she has us and Toni plus she can switch to being online or something"

Betty- (sighs) "I guess so, but doesn't the future scare you? I mean having kids and getting married?"

Polly- "not really, it's definitely different but not something you should be scared of. What's making you nervous?"

Betty- "I don't know, I guess Archie asking me out and Cheryl having a baby? I'm not sure but I do know that I just don't want to make the wrong decisions"

Polly- "but if you don't make any decisions then you're going to miss out"

Betty- "I've never thought about it like that, I just want to be happy"

Polly- "and you're going to be, but not if you spend all your time worrying about making the right choice. Take Cheryl for example, she chose to keep her baby and in a few months it's going to be hard. she's going to question if she made the right decision but in the end she's going to be the happiest because she's going to have the cutest little redhead"

Betty- "wow Pol, that's a lot but I know you're right"

Polly- "of course I am, I'm your older sister"

They both laughed before Polly stood up and rubbed her shoulder

Polly- "I'm gonna head to bed myself, you're okay?"

Betty- "yeah, we'll be fine"

Polly left the girls alone as Betty carefully moved Cheryl beside her and started to get up but Cheryl grabbed onto her wrist

Cheryl- (softly) "please stay"

Betty- (softly) "I just need to change but I'm not leaving the room okay?"

Cheryl carefully nodded and slowly let go of Betty's hand before closing her eyes again

Betty quickly got changed and slid in bed next to the now sleeping Cheryl

Betty- (softly) "it'll be okay"

She kissed her head before drifting off to sleep
