Story Expectation
A true fantasy tale at heart, but a little lighter on the lore/world-building (which will be expanded on in future works) and heavier on the emotions. The story is a metaphor in itself, containing strong emotional themes of cruelty, compassion, and the power of forgiveness. Regardless, it is my hope you will find the story highly immersive and moving.
But keep tissues handy. You may need them.

Chapters preceded with "C/T Warning" may contain sensitive content disturbing to some readers. Please do not read this story if you are sensitive to any of the following:
- Attempted rape (unsuccessful)
- Sexual threats/language (once only)
- Harm, abuse, or death of children
- Harm, abuse, or death of animals
- Explicit descriptions of pain/discomfort
- Hopelessness and self-loathing
- Cruelty, bullying, and discrimination
The story will never contain any of the following:
- Cursing
- Sex, rape, or nudity
- Gory violence
- Suicide
Language
I'm experimenting with a blend of modern and archaic English language. The grammatical convention itself will follow British English (judges beware). Feedback here is highly essential, especially if you have suggestions or experience with the older style of English.
