Hyrule in Shambles

"With everything that happened, I have no doubt everything's in an uproar", Kate stated, turning her head towards Link, "how's the arm",

"Doesn't hurt anymore... but I'm surprised it didn't go after this", Link said, holding up his left arm, a tattoo-like mark on the back of his hand; her gaze turned towards the back of her right hand, her thumb brushing over her tattoo-like mark.

"Although I never understood it in the past... you do have a point", Kate said, "that thing... Ganon or not... I don't think he even knows about this",

"Then let's keep it that way", Link stated, "like the King said, "if word gets out about what we have, danger will follow",

"I think we're a little too late on that warning", Kate reminded, "those after us here know of Zelda's powers, and of how we had the Master Swords... but you are right, they don't know about that",

"Your Majesties, is that really you", a voice asked, gaining their attention as a Hylian ran towards them, "no one's seen you both or Princess Zelda since you three went under the castle to investigate the gloom, and that's when the castle rose into the air, everyone's been so worried about you three; Purah has barely slept, she's been trying to help Sheik figure out where you three went",

"We'll head over and let them know we're alright", Kate reassured, the two entering the town and making their way to Purah's new house; before they could approach, a kid turned around, looking at them.

"That hair, those eyes, duh...DUH... DOC", the kid, Josha shouted, "DOCTOR PURAH, the swordsman, the swordsman has returned",

Purah came running out the door a few seconds after.

"Ok... now where have you two been", Purah asked in a demanding tone, "Linky... Katie... you're not ghosts, are you",

"No", both Link and Kate said in unison as Purah looked at Link's new arm.

"That looks interesting...", Purah mumbled before letting out a breath, calming herself down, "one step at a time... what exactly happened",

"Well, we found out what was underneath the castle", Kate explained, "we found this mummy, the gloom was coming off him, it came to life, a lot of things happened, we fell into a fissure and Zelda disappeared",

"We then woke up on a sky island saved by this arm which was stuck on the mummy", Link added, "got Zelda's Purah Pad and learned this arm was from Rauru; the swords disappeared, and we came here after hearing Zelda's voice",

"So, let me get this straight", Pura asked, "you three went beneath Hyrule Castle, discovered a mysterious mummy which suddenly reanimated, then Zelda falls into a fissure and vanishes... that must've been when the castle rose and the ruins fell; later, you wake up on a sky island, saved by the arm that was stuck to the mummy, got the Purah Pad from an unusual creature, and learned that your new arm belonged to someone named Rauru; the Master Swords disappeared and you hear the princess's voice... later finding your way here",

"Pretty much", both Link and Kate said in unison.

"Then... are you saying you came from up THERE", Purah asked, pointing towards the sky islands.

"Yep", Kate said.

"This Rauru you met... I think that's what the first King of Hyrule was named", Purah stated, "are they one of the same, so much of this doesn't make sense... yet... but I'm certain that mummy you found under the castle must be related to the Upheaval",

"Where's Sheik", Link asked.

"Since the Upheaval, the gloom spread everywhere", Purah explained, "Korok Forest was one of the first places to get hit, he traveled there to aid the Great Deku Tree while the search team went towards the castle to look for you three, I'd recommend heading over there and letting them know that you're both alright",
