In The Living Room
Ethan was sitting down on the couch as his face was buried into his hands while he cried. "Ethan?" His head shot up and he saw you standing over him. He quickly wiped his tears. "Oh- hey.." he smiled a little. "Are you okay?" You asked. "Yeah, yeah, I'm good.." he replied. You just looked him in the eyes as he did the same. It looked like he was about to break out into tears again. You watched his eyes get watery again and a small frown form on his face.
Your heart melted and you sucked in your bottom lip before you sat next to him and opened your arms. He looked at you before he also opened his arms and fell into yours. You heard him cry in pain and heartbreak. He layed in your arms and you looked at him and saw how upset he looked. It looked as if someone really hurt his feelings. You've never seen him this sad before.
He kept taking skippy breaths. "Shh..." you scooched him closer to you as you listened to his cries. It was best to not say or ask about it, just be there for them and comfort them. As he layed with you on the couch while hours passed by, he stopped crying towards the end and fell asleep on you while you were playing with his curls and humming comfortedly.
You weren't sure if you were doing this right, you were just glad you were comforting him. To Ethan, you helped him a lot throughout the night. He buried his head into your shoulder and wrapped his arm around your waist as his tears grew dried on his cheeks and he took a skippy deep breath.
