Prologue 7

Kagome P.O.V

Deuce was still fighting the giant monster, but none of his magic attacks is even effecting that thing

'Just how strong is that monster?!' I thought to myself

"Leave! Leave!! Leeeeeeeeeeeaave!!!" The monster shouted and hit Deuce with its lantern and sent him falling to the wall

"Guuuuuh!" Deuce groaned in pain as his back hit the cave's wall

"Deuce!" I ran towards him and helped him stand up

"Stand back if you have no control, Mr. Serious! I'll stop it! Ha!" Ace used his magic on the monster, but it showed no effect

"Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuooooooooooohhhhh!!" The monster swung its lantern again and Ace went flying to the same cave wall that Deuce was

"Ffgnaaaa!! Stay away!" Grim cried and his fire on the monster, but it didn't even effect it. Then the monster growled at us "I-It's not working at all!" Then I noticed something shining behind the monster

"Guys! I saw something sparkle behind that monster!" I said and they looked surprised

"Behind that thing?! It's at the end of the tunnel too..." Ace said

"How are we even gonna go through?!" Deuce asked, then the monster noticed what we were looking

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH! WON'T GIVE!!!!!!" The monster shouted

"L-L-L-Let's get out of here! We're done for at this rate!" Grim cried as he started running away

"Come on, you two! We need to escape!" I said and we didn't waste any time running

When we got outside, we stopped running to catch out breaths

"Is this far enough?" Grim asked as he was catching his breath

"I think so" I said

"Ooowww.... What in the world was that? No one said anything about that!" Ace complained

"It didn't seem like any old ghost" Deuce said

"What are we gonna do now?" I asked as sat on the ground

"I'll tell you what we're gonna do, give up and go home. I'd rather get expelled than fight that thing" Ace said

"Wha?! Don't screw with me! I'd rather die than face expulsion! There was a magic crystal in front of us. You think I could just give up and leave!?" Deuce shouted

"Ha! You talk big for someone worse at magic than me. Go alone if you want. I'm done" Ace said as he started to leave

"Ooooh, that right? Then stay right there cowering like a spineless coward!" Deuce said and Ce stopped in his tracks, and turned around and glared at Deuce

"Huuuuuuuh?! Coward?! Who exactly are you talking about?!" Ace shouted at Deuce

"U-Uuuh... Deuce? Did you switch up your character?" Grim asked

"I have to agree with Grim, your character switched very quickly" I said and Deuce jumped when he finally noticed

"A-Ahem! My bad. I lost my composure a bit" Deuce apologized

"Can't you guys use magic fight that thing?" I asked

"Large-scale or complicated magic requires a lot of training to use" Deuce said

"But that's why we have schools for magic. You have to practice a lot to use magic just as it comes to mind. Bluntly speaking, you'll screw up if you lose your cool" Ace said
