Lucy walked into east high. it was the first day of her juinor year, and she was hoping to find the one. yes she knows how cliche that sound, but the last boy she was with dumped her for her best friend .well ex-best friend. nini Salazar-Roberts. they were best friends for years but after that she stopped. you see her ex ej caswell and her started dating during spring and he was going away to theather camp, she begged and begged her parents to let her go. it was her dream to be an actor. but they said no. so he went away and he dumped her over text, who does that? and came back with nini in his arms.
She walks over to her locker and meets with her other best friend ellie, they met freshman year and started dating but it didn't work out so they are just friends. "juinor year baby!!!" Lucy and ellie sat on the bleachers while listening to the principal speak. "And I am also pleased to announce that this year, seniors will be allowed to wear baseball hats on fridays." The curly haired boy asked the boy next to him. Who she assumed was "Big Red". "Some things never change, dude. I've been wearing the same socks for three days." Big Red said "ew" Lucy said while scooting over and grabbing Ellie's arm to scoot her too. The boy in front does the same.
"Please hold your applause." The new drama teacher said before shooting a T-shirt to a random kid yelling "go wildcats". "My name is ms.Jenn, and when I heard that the high school where high school musical was shot had never staged a production of high school musical, the musical," a bunch of " oohs" were heard around the gym. "What type of name is high school musical, the musical?" Ellie asks with a dramatic tone at the end. "The fuck should I know" Lucy says as the girl beside her shrugs
"I was shocked as an actress, inspired as a director and triggered as a millennial." "Millennial?" Lucy questions. "Audition are tomorrow after school. She finishes right before the bell rings.
Lucy: "my parents made me take singing lessons since I was 5 so I could sing for our local church. I think I would be perfect for a role. Right?"
The students start leaving so Lucy grabs el's hand to help her up so they can get to class.
