STEP ONE : FIND UR INSPO
have a scroll through pinterest and make a note of any covers that stand out to you. save them to a board. this helps establish the vibe you're trying to achieve and gives you some ideas about faceclaim placement, overlay type and use etc.
from there, you typically search for images of your faceclaim that fit the design you're trying to replicate▬as well as any backgrounds or overlays that you can see are commonly used for that type of cover (eg. a lot of spiderman covers use a new york skyline).
