Y/n sat in the office, awaiting Foxy's arrival. It was about 1am. She'd been checking the cameras yet no one seemed to make a single move. She supposed Foxy had been telling the truth after all, none of them were going to hurt her, although she couldn't help but feel slightly nervous of what "helping them" was going to entail.

Another few minutes passed before she heard voices, hushed voices, one of them sounded a bit like Foxy.

They must be talking, she thought. She opened the monitor and saw indeed that Foxy was up by the show stage with the other three talking to them, there was no audio available much to her disappointment. She quickly turned it off before they could notice her watching them.

Careful not to make too much noise, she stood up from her chair, and approached the left door, trying to listen to what was being said, to no avail. For a bunch of heavy robots that made a lot of noise when they moved, they sure knew how to keep quiet when it suited them. She shuddered to think of the disadvantage that'd put her at had they still been trying to kill her.

She stood there for a while, trying to see if she could capture something, anything, from their exchange. She heard her name a few times which sent a chill down her spine, but that was all she could hear. After a while the voices stopped, and were shortly replaced with the sound of music, it sounded like... My Grandfather's Clock.

What the hell is happening here?

It took her a moment before she realised the music was getting louder, something or someone was approaching her. A more rational person would have ran back into the office and slammed both doors shut, but she was curious, Foxy had told her she wasn't going to be harmed and - even though he was a haunted robot - she felt strangely like she could trust him.

"Y/n?"

The music was suddenly much louder and a voice sounded from behind her, the voice of a child. She spun around and had to stifle a scream. Standing about as tall as her, maybe a bit taller, was a Puppet of some kind. Except it wasn't being pulled by strings, it was... floating in a way. It's face was a pale white with red cheeks and tear streaks running beneath it's eyes, it had a permanent wide smile. It sent chills down her spine.

She opened her mouth, at first, to ask "what are you?" but after realising how rude that was, she instead asked; "who are you?".

"I'm known by many names," it spoke again, it's mouth didn't move, nor did it's eyes blink. It looked... blank.

Who on Earth thought it was a good idea to make that for kids?

"Don't be afraid," it said, still in the same bone chilling child's voice. "I'm not going to hurt you."

Y/n nodded, very conscious of how little she was talking she looked around the office trying desperately to think of something to say. Anything.

"The others are telling me that you want to help us," it saved her the trouble, Y/n turned back to look at the puppet and nodded.

"Y-yes," she managed to get out, mentally kicking herself. "I want to help you."

"You're the first nightguard who's ever approached any of us," it said, tilting it's head in what Y/n assumed was meant to be a curious way. "Foxy told me that you're... unlike the rest."

"Foxy said that?" Y/n said, her heart leapt in a strange way. She wanted badly to believe it was fear causing it, but she knew deep down it wasn't. That had long gone now. There was something strange happening to her, and she wasn't fond of it.

The Puppet disregarded what she said and continued it's monologue; "After your shift is over, I want you to meet me in the storage room. Me and the others. We'll be waiting."

"What about the day shift staff arriving?" Y/n asked.

"Do you want to help us or not?"

"Of course I do," Y/n said. "It's just if I'm caught talking to the robots it might... set off some alarm bells?"

The Puppet nodded, taking note of what she said.

"I'll set up a diversion."

"How-?"

"If you wish to help us, you need to trust us," it cut across her firmly. "If you do not wish to help us, then you can leave at 6am."

Y/n nodded.

"I'll be there."

The Puppet nodded, and without another word, it rose and floated out of the room, the sound of it's music fading as it disappeared.

Y/n sat down, lighting a much-needed cigarette she replayed in the interaction in her head. She had many questions, most of them being; what the hell was that thing?

Burning with curiosity, she checked the time and saw there was still another four hours of her shift to go. Feeling as though this night couldn't go any slower, she took a drag from her cigarette and groaned. Wondering what on earth this interaction was going to be after her shift. Probably just as strange, if not more, than the one she'd already had, she imagined.

The night dragged by, but it drew to a close and the chime for 6am sounded. Without sparing a second thought she got up from her chair, grabbed her belongings and left for the storage room to find that Foxy, Bonnie, Chica and Freddy were already there.

"Hello again," Foxy said. "How was your shift?"

"Long," she replied, Foxy chuckled. She didn't notice the knowing looks Bonnie and Chica exchanged, and even if she had, there was know way she would've known it was about Foxy's undeniably growing fondness of her. Which, unbeknownst to everyone in the room, she was also beginning to feel towards him.
