"I just can't understand Stacey." Jennie murmured to herself as she examined a jet black skirt and kept it in her basket together with two other clothes she picked along with it then continued with her search for more.

"I know one thing for sure and it is that Stacey cannot stand wearing a particular set of clothes to school for more than a semester. Why then has she decided not to come shopping? I also know that Stacey likes shopping the week before school reopens. Or does Stacey want to make a late shopping? No, I know that she doesn't like that either because the pretty ones would have been taken by then. I also don't know where she got her obsessions from and even mocking me and teaching mom to mock me and making Anne think I'm mocking her and—– "

"Jennie!"

Jennie turned and to her surprise, saw one of her friends, Rosé.

"Rosé!" Jennie screamed in with excitement and confusion as she hugged her friend. "When did you get back? Why didn't you call me?"

"I wanted to surprise you." Rosé beamed at her.

"Surprise me? How?"

"Like this." Rosé replied, tossing back her glossy pink hair.

"Like how?!" Jennie's eyes were almost bulging out of her socket from rising frustration.

"Oh Jennie, I wanted to surprise you by coming here to meet you without you knowing I'm back already."

"Rosé, how did you know that I would be here today?"

"Don't know, maybe instincts."

"What if you didn't see me?" Jennie pursed her lips as she squinted her eyes suspiciously at her friend.

"Meh, then I would simply call you and inform you that I'm back," Rosé tossed nonchalantly. "By the way, what are you doing here?"

"Seriously?" Jennie continued in a flat voice, "Isn't it obvious? What else would I be doing here? I am doing the exact same thing you came here to do."

"What?!" Rosé shouted, earning herself a few glances by others that were shopping too. She began to whisper in a rush instead, "You came to shop for clothes that would make you get noticed by Jungkook?!"

"No, my God, no. What are you saying? That is not —" Jennie huffed. "I would never do that."

"But you just said you were doing the exact same thing I came here to do." Rosé narrowed her eyes.

"How would I know that you came here to update your wardrobe for Jungkook?" It was Jennie's turn to shout. "And you seriously still have a crush on that boy?"

"You don't need to be all grumpy about it." Rosé murmured.

"I'm not grumpy about it."

"You are grumpy about it."

"I'm not."

"You are."

"I'm not."

"You are."

"Why would I even be grumpy about it?" Jennie scoffed.

"I don't even know why, do you?" Rosé returned.

"Well, I'm not. It's just that ever since he came to our school last semester, you've been disturbing me about his looks, how you like him, how you think he is going to marry you. You keep getting us into detention by talking to me in class and complaining that you think he is going to be snatched from you by female students, teachers, grannies, even pets!"

Jennie's softened voice grew hard as she threw her hands up at the incredulity, "To think that you now hate pets, especially really cute ones that run into our school because you think they are going to get Jungkook's attention, drag it into their fluffy purs, lock it up there and——"
