001 - sunny ferries09.37 - england
Flora and Charlie sat in the blonde's car, sweating in the exemplified heat of the summer's day. Charlotte had her feet kicked up through the open window as she scrolled through her playlists, unable to remain on just one song.
"Oh my god, Char. Just pick a song!" Flora groans out, rolling her eyes at how annoying her roommate's habits were.
"Well, if the other two could just hurry up, I could give Willow the phone and relax!" Charlie snapped back, heavily sighing, watching the door of her other best friends' apartment building. She continues to skip through songs, finding them incredibly too boring to listen to more than 30 seconds.
"Relax, kids," The pair of girls hear through the window, eyes meeting the face of their overly excited best friend with her two, huge suitcases. "Your queen has arrived," The brunette, Willow, beams before opening the boot to put both hers and Maud's suitcases in.
The two girls giggling, slide into the back seats of Flora's small car, exhilarated with the thoughts of their summer adventures. "Finally! Charlie can't pick one fucking song." The blonde grumbles, making a dig at her best friend jokingly.
"It's not my fault these two took so long," She mumbles back in fake annoyance, looking out the window, refusing to make eye contact with the girl next to her.
"I'm sorry, it was my fault! I lost our passports," Willow informs, feeling relieved now that she had everything. Flora scoffs in reply, beginning to drive off.
"Charlie, what have I told you about having your feet up in a moving vehicle," Maud asks, telling off the girl that seemed to have no concept of safety. "This is why you failed your driving test," She mumbles under her breath as the girl sat in front of her moves her legs out of the window.
"Don't be daft, Moody Maud. I failed cause I'm a crap driver, not because my feet were out the window," The girl replies snarkily, a small smile on her face that widens when the other two girls in the car begin to laugh, receiving an eye roll from Maud.
The journey continues, One Direction and Taylor Swift blares out of the speakers of the rundown car as the girls happily sing to Willow's infamous playlist (that has almost caused several accidents).

Willow sat by the window of the ferry, curled up in her seat with a book in her hand. She had her headphones on, blaring The Beatles, and all her friends understood that she just wanted to relax.
The brunette believed that the greatest thing about her friends, above everything, was how well they knew her (especially Maud). She was known to get very tired of socialising quite quickly and so her friends ensure she wasn't bothered. The girl was known to carry several books with her, almost wherever she went in case she ever needed a short escape. She would bring books of all lengths and genres but her favourite is and would remain Emma by Jane Austen. She had read it a million times and she always went back to it.
"Willy," The soft calling of Maud's voice awakens the lightly sleeping girl as their ferry ride was coming to and end, "Wills, are you ready?" She quietly asks the brunette as her eyes flutter from the bright light.
"We're here?" Willow questions, her eyebrows furrowed in the confusion of being awoken.
"Mhm, let's get back to the car," Flora mumbles, a soft smile on her face with how precious her best friend was. She's holding Charlie's heavy backpack, a hand out for her headphones and book.
The girls all make it back to the car, piling in. Charlotte is bouncing in her seat, excited to be back to a place she considers home. "Can we got to the pub first?" The dark haired girl asks with a wide smile planted on her face.
"Maybe we should stop at your aunts first?" Maud suggests with a shrug, "We need to drop our bags off and I'm desperate to get out of these clothes," She continues, pulling off her hoodie due to having started sweating. She presses the aircon onto a higher power as she leans back into her seat.
Charlie lets out a heavy sigh and in response Flora says, "She's right, Char. I'm over heating too." She groans out the last sentence, a hand coming to her neck tugging a little at the collar of her top. The blonde girl opens her window as she drives them off the ferry. "Ugh, I love it here."
Charlie begins to get more eager as she looks out her window. Her feet drum against the floor, unable to sit still. "Best summer ever!" Willow exclaims towards Maud, who beams back at the happy girl.
"It hasn't even started," Flora laughs, smiling at the enthusiastic girl through her rear-view mirror.
"She's right, I can sense it," Charlie mumbles, closing her eyes and waving her arms out in front of her in a supernatural manner. "The spirits say yes," She tells them with certainty once she opens her eyes again. The girls just bursting into laughter at their friends antics but she was right, it was going to be the summer of their lives.
