I frantically look for a new pot as my noodles began to boil over. "Fucking hell!" I groaned, flinching as the hot water hit me.

Bill in the background just remained in his seat. "Still not that good of a cook?"

"Just help me!" I snapped. He let out a fake cough trying to mask his laugh and remove the boiling pot from the burner and grab a strainer out from a cabinet. I was trying to cook a pasta recipe I saw online but it's obviously not going as good as I'd hope. I was too busy being distracted ranting to Bill I forget about the food.

"Okay we're good!" I panted, leaning against the stove.

His eyes wondered past me, face dropping. "Um...Amber."

I slowly turn around me and screamed. "Fuck!" The food on the side I was cooking was now on fire and getting bigger by the second.

After a good few minutes running around and trying to stop a literal fire, him and I both screaming and running around, I took a seat and bang my head against the table. "I'm never cooking again."

"That's probably the smartest thing you said all day." He agreed. "Want to just order takeout?" I nodded and watched as he grab his phone, dialing a restaurant. He automatically knew what I wanted and I smiled in appreciation, mouthing a thanks as I began to clean up.

Once he was done he came to help. "They said it'll be a little over half an hour until it gets here."

"That's fine, it'll give us enough time to clean up." I sighed. "This is gonna take awhile. Mom is going to kill me once she sees I ruined her good pot."

"I can get her another one." Bill suggested, I shook my head. No way I'm allowing him to get something from my own mistake.

It took a good twenty minutes to clean everything up, the sauce exploded too after the fire and got all over the floor and cabinets, so I had to mop too which resulted in Bill almost falling on his ass. He wasn't too pleased when I couldn't stop laughing about it.

"I'm sorry!" I wheezed, falling back onto the chair. "Please don't be mad."

He let out a loud sigh and got up, going to dry himself off in the bathroom.

Once I was done mopping I sat on my couch, raising my knees to my chest as he came back down. "Are those mine?" I gasped, my jaw dropping.

Bill let's out a grin and strike a pose. "Like it?" He was wearing my Care Bears pj pants.

"Um..." I chuckled, putting my hands over my mouth. "I forgot I had those." He sighs happily as he plop down next to me, turning his head to look at me. I giggled, watching him adjusting to laying down.

"I'm sorry about Andrew." He says quietly once he saw me check my phone.

I bit my lip and just stared at the ceiling, shrugging. "I don't really care anymore." Andrew has ghosted me since the past weekend. I tried texting multiple times but got left on read both attempts.

"Maybe he'll come around." He tried lifting me up and put his hand on mine. "I know I would." The last part was a whisper and I quickly looked away, my chest tightening as I tried to inhale calmly. Bill kept his eyes on me though, scanning across my face and every so often look at my eyes. I let out a small sigh and gave in, meeting his eyes. He gave me a small smile and turn his body facing me, his head sitting up from laying on his hand.

Flashback (happy one)

"Bill." I sighed, staring into his eyes. His grin only grew wider as he brought me in closer, burying his face in my neck. "I don't know what to do with you."
