Jahoon: Jisun! Just the girl that I was looking for!

I ran over to Jisun as I saw her when I entered the company the next day. Jisun looked at me with curiosity. I walked with her wherever she was heading to.

Jisun: What's wrong?

Jahoon: I need some help and advice on something but... it's not work-related.

Jisun: That is fine! You can ask me anything, I will help as long as I'm able to.

Jahoon: It's about Gyuri and Jiwon.

Jisun: Gyuri? Jiwon is more understandable but Gyuri? Have they caused you any problems?

Jisun stopped and turned to look at me. I scratched the back of my neck.

Jahoon: I'm not quite sure if I would call it a problem but it might be in other people's eyes.

Jisun: Sounds like it is a bit of a personal problem but let us better talk in my office about it before there will be any more for the workers to gossip about.

I looked around to see employees standing and staring at us while whispering among themselves. I nodded. A few moments later we walked inside her office and sat down in the couch area. Jisun handed me a glass of water before sitting opposite me.

Jisun: Now tell me, what seems to be the problem?

I told her everything that I experienced yesterday from the start of the dinner to the moment after I dropped Gyuri off. Jisun just looked at me and kept quiet as she listened to everything I said. Now I understand why she is the head of the personnel department.

Jisun: It is definitely unusual behavior from both of them but it seems like they are battling with each other.

Jahoon: Battling?

Jisun: Yeah. I have never seen them act like this before. The only reason that I can think of for the reason behind their behavior is that both of them have fallen in love with you to some degree and they both know that the other like you so-

Jahoon: So you are saying that both of them have fallen in love with me and are fighting over me?

Jisun: That's what it seems like. That is the only explanation that I can think about.

I leaned back and sighed as I tried to comprehend it. But more trying to make it make sense. I could make it make sense with Gyuri since she spends time with me the whole day so it would make sense that she would fall for me although to be honest I can't see what there is to love about me. But with Jiwon? That is a big question mark that I can't solve no matter how I look at it.

Jisun: It's hard to see how and why Jiwon would fall for you, right?

Jahoon: Yeah... I spend time with Gyuri the whole day but with Jiwon, she hasn't even spoken to me unless she needed to. She has even been avoiding me so I don't-

Or was it because of when I rescued her from falling off the ladder?

Jisun: What is it? Did something happen between you and Jiwon that could explain why?

Jisun looked at me with curiosity as I bit my lip, wondering if I should tell her or not. I promised myself that I wouldn't tell anyone to not make Jiwon feel embarrassed or anything. But I did come to her for help. In the end, I decided to tell.

Jisun: It would kind of explain the reason behind it. Jiwon hasn't really had anyone who has been this close to her or cares about her other than us. She must have been really touched by you and your personality.

Jahoon: But I wouldn't categorize it as something for her to fall in love with me.

Jisun: Love is not something that you can choose. Also, many people do fall in love because of the other person's personality. But I think that you should try to figure out if all of this is really true or not because if not then the relationship between you, Gyuri, and Jiwon could get awkward.

Jisun shrugged. I thanked her for the consultation and left her office. Although I was able to talk with Jisun about this and confirm my suspicions to a somewhat degree, there were still a lot of things to think about. I got to my office and sat down contemplating everything. A few moments later I heard a knock on the door and Gyuri peeking her head inside.

Gyuri: Are you busy?

Jahoon: No, it's fine. You can come in.

I smiled at her and gestured for her to come in. Gyuri walked inside and closed the door behind her before sitting on the seat opposite me.

Gyuri: It seems like a lot is on your mind. You didn't even notice me calling for you in the hallway. You alright? It is unlike you.

Jahoon: You did? I'm so sorry about it but yeah... I do have a few problems on my mind but don't worry, it's not something that you have to worry about.

Gyuri: Are you sure? You know that you can always talk to me about anything and everything at any time you need.

Gyuri smiled softly to reassure me. I bit the inside of my cheek as I stared at her. It's hard to talk with you when you are the one causing me to act like this. I couldn't tell her yet. I don't even know where my own feelings were right now. I didn't want either Gyuri or Jiwon to go on with hope if I ended up not liking them at all. I shook my head and smiled.

Jahoon: I'm sure but thank you. I will hold you on the offer though.

I pointed at Gyuri jokingly, making her laugh. She quickly dropped it and returned back to work, leaving me alone. As soon as she closed the door behind her, I leaned backward in my chair and sighed. I rubbed my face.

Jahoon: I didn't know it would be this stressful taking this job. And not this kind of stress.

I sighed once again. I caught myself continuously opening and closing my hands. It was something that I would always do when I'm stressed and didn't know what to do- or maybe I do! I could try and spend some time with them individually outside of work and see if the destiny string would appear when I'm with either one of them. This is the only way that I could possibly think of resolving this right now. I stood up and placed my hands in my pockets as I stared out of the window. There was another problem with this though. It would be easy enough for me to ask Gyuri out but Jiwon... She was a whole other case that I had to crack.
