He's Not A Girl

the DATE??

(Inosuke POV)

As I wake up still a bit drowsy I get ready for work and say goodbye to Haku and my mother

I run into work cleaning everyone's room until I get to Tanjiro's room there is a piece of paper on his bed it says

"Hello Inosuke I am not going to be here when you get to cleaning my room thats why I'm leaving a note. I'm wondering if you would be free around 5 to head out."

" right the hang out!" I think to myself as I circle yes on the paper and continue cleaning up his room

Later I am about to leave work when I see Tanjiro wave to me
I wave back and get ready for the hang out or how my mother would like to say "our date."

I dress in a sweater and jeans and I hear a knock on the door

My mother answered the door and yelled "INOSUKE YOUR BOYFRIEND IS HERE!"

"He isn'tmy boyfriend" I mummble at my mother when walking to the door

Tanjiro clearly finds this funny and laughs

As we head out Tanjiro asks me what I told her as a joke

"I told her were hanging out " I mutter

Tanjiro and I start driving somewhere
He clearly knew were he was going once we got there he covered my eyes as if it was a surprise

He lead me up some stairs and uncovers my eyes

"Its gorgeous." I mummble

It was a flower field with a cherry blossom tree under the tree was several lights hung up on the tree branches, a baby blue blanket, and cooler and picnic basket, and more blankets and pillows

"Were did you get the time for this?" I asked quietly

"When you got the note was because I was setting this up as an apology." He replied with a smile

As we go to sit down on the blanket a bunny looked at us

"Can I feed it a bit?" I ask tanjiro quietly

He hands me a piece of sandwich bread and I tare it up into smaller pieces and hold it out infront of the bunny

Tanjiro laughs at me. I turn to him "don't laugh at me." I mummer

"The bunny took all the bread." Tanjiro says

"Aww.." I say softly as the bunny bounces away

"Girl, that was so cute." He says

"Should I tell him?" I ask myself
I decide yes

"You realize that I'm not actually a female, right?" In my normal voice that made it a dead give-a-way

He was silent for a while but then said
"Apologies for the misunderstanding "

I laugh and say "Nah, it's my fault for that. Lady kocho wanted us to act like females."

"Then it's Lady kocho fult." He says sarcastically

"Its actually the same this for Muichiro, the one with really long hair that's blue at the end." I said

He smiles

"Why does my heart feel funny. Like it's on fire or being pricked by 10,000 needles?" I asked myself in my head

My face feels hot like my by a fire but I'm not.

"Are you feel well ,Inosuke? Your face is red." Tanjiro asked

I panic and say "hdjdkk."

Tanjiro looks confused

"I mean yeah." I say embarrassed

He laughs and say "Ok. That's the funniest thing I've ever seen."

I must've still look embarrassed because he hugged me and said

"it's alright. Calm down."

As the night went on so did out conversations. Some were about the tea incident other about our past or stories and some just plain randomness. Either way it was really fun.

By the time it hit 8 Tanjiro said we should head out so I wouldn't be to tired tomorrow.

So as he was packing up I started to help even though he said it was fine

Once we got into the car he thanked me for the help and we headed off

"Thanks for inviting me out here!" I exclaimed

He smiled "it's the least I can do after what I did."

We both laughed

Once we got to my house I waved goodbye and gave him another thank you.

He waved and said

"We should do this more often."

When my mother heard this she said "sure totally not a date."

"Its not!" I exclaimed

"He said we should do this more!" She said

I pick up Haku and walk to my room

As I sit in my room I think about how my heart felt during my time with Tnjiro. "Is this normal?" I thought
