In a world where a phenomenon has occurred on planet Earth, a new wave of supernaturals have appeared within the people: Espers and Guides. A vast majority of the population consists of regular non magical citizens, whilst a miniscule minority consists of magical users. The world was overrun by monsters who attack the daily lives of the citizens and Espers protect them.

Espers can harness different types of magical powers from fire to water to doll control to shadow manipulation. However, using more and more of their magical prowess can lead to what people call 'Esper's Explosion'. Once an Esper explodes, the Esper and anyone within the radius will perish.

Then, there are guides. Guides are essential to Espers whose physical touch can calm their explosions. Although they cannot use magical powers, they still put themselves in harm's way by being close to the battlefield to recharge any Esper who needs their touch. Unfortunately, the world made it so that there were more Espers than guides.

The most important thing for an Esper and a Guide is the act of imprinting. What this does is through mutual sexual connection, the two are connected throughout their entire lives where the Esper can only receive guidance through their imprinted partner and the Guide can now only guide their imprinted Esper. Two partners are examined for their compatibility percentage before choosing to imprint. An imprint cannot be removed once placed.

Michael Kaiser was one of the very few S-rank Espers in the world highly coveted by magical companies to fight for them. The company he signed under was Bastard Munchen, a powerhouse company that only hires B-rank Espers and above. Kaiser is their only S-rank and is quite famous due to his rank.

The Esper was coming back after a large-scale monster attack that he handled with only Alexis Ness: an A-rank Esper, Benedict Grim: a B-rank Esper, and Erik Gesner: B-rank Esper. Ness was helping Kaiser walk since he was in bad shape—not from the monster attack but an even bigger problem—he was ready to explode any time now!

Despite receiving guidance from other Guides, it showed no effect on Kaiser. Kaiser met many Guides, but for some reason, his body continuously rejected them. His blue eyes are now glowing red and parts of his skin are being enveloped in a gray smoky color.

"Kaiser, you must receive guidance from someone! You're going to explode!" A worried Ness lays him down in the basement chambers as per Noel Noa's orders and locks Kaiser in. Is there no Guide out there that could calm him?! The basement chambers were built so that it is able to withstand strong Esper explosions.

Noa pressed the code red button which signaled an alarm throughout the entire building that an S-rank Esper was going to explode.

"Everyone out!" He shouted. The company building is in a remote area, however, Kaiser is an S-rank. Who knows how big his radius will be. An S-rank has never exploded before. Will the basement withstand his explosion?

Other Espers and Guides ran to scramble out the building, screaming. Imprinted partners scream while looking for each other, fearing that they would perish. If one of an imprinted partner dies, the road ahead of their lives will be a tragedy. An imprinted Esper who dies leaves their Guide unable to guide anyone else. An imprinted Guide who dies leaves an Esper who cannot receive guidance from other Guides.

Despite the warnings, a lone Guide walks further into the building without thinking of his own life: Isagi Yoichi. Isagi is a newly recruited B-rank Guide hired by the company to give his guidance to Espers in need. His dream was to be imprinted by a strong beautiful Esper and fight the world with them.
