I lay back, pulling all the blankets with me.

Draining away all my stresses from earlier in the day.

The rain was coming down hard tonight.

At my side, the love of my life, sitting on a chair.

His head leaning down, looking at his guitar and at me most of the times, singing along to a song he'd sang to me many times, although I never grew tired of hearing.

 A song that I could've sworn was written just for us.

How could anyone write words that so perfectly describe the way we love each other.

I hum along but never so loud that could couldn't hear the rasp in Wilbur's sweet voice as he sings to me softly.

He's so beautiful, his dark curls that covered his face, his eyes closed. 

I'd seen his face a million times but could watch him forever, every day feeling like it was the first.

He pauses to take a breathe, catching me watching him closely.

 We sit quietly for just a moment before he gets up climbing into bed, wrapping his arms around me 

He looked at me smiling, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.

He closed the gap between us in a split-second decision, I kissed him back.

A soft sweet perfect first kiss. 

His kisses are soft, sweet and so full of love.

"I love you." He whispers.
