It's a cold man to hurt his woman
And watch her walk away crying
When all along, he knows he's wrong
Being so hard on a woman who's tryingI was so unkind to hurt you so
Going out of my mind
I just gotta let you know thatBaby, I just can't let you go
I realize I hurt you so
Our love, surely can we mend it
It's just a little misunderstandingI remember you said
You would always care
Until death should we do part
Baby, surely must be our destiny
To die the death of a broken heartSo before I go, a wandering rover
Let's get together
Talk this thing over nowBaby, I just can't let you go
I realize I hurt you so
Our love, surely can we mend it

Somewhere in the skies between San Diego and New York - July 15th 2023
An airplane flew on the bright blue sky, flying above a cluster of white fluffy clouds. The sun shone brightly above the airplane, shining some light into the cabin of the airplane where a man was sitting by the window. His eyes looked out towards the bright blue sky. The clear and sunny weather a stark contrast to what was in his heart.
Sebastian sighed as his mind replayed what happened back in Poway. He thought he would be on an airplane back to New York with his family, with the two loves of his life. Yet there he was, with just his mom. The love of his life was still adamant on not getting back together with him, despite all the wonderful things he thought he had given her.
He couldn't deny that he was really, extremely, disappointed in the way that she had behaved. He never thought she would have the heart to shout at him the way she had. For the first time in his life he felt like she hated him and as much as he hated it, he couldn't deny that he somehow hated her too.
He was angry that she turned out to be just like other women who couldn't understand about his love for his job. Yes, he knew he was to blame as well for neglecting his family at times in favor for his job during their honeymoon. But he thought he had more than make up for it. He had bared his soul to her. He had groveled under her feet, begged for her forgiveness and for her to accept him back. But she just kept on being stubborn and wanted him to sacrifice his job for her when she knew full well he was working on a Marvel movie where everything was more strict and where he more often than not had no say in. Why wouldn't she understand that? At times he felt like she was a different woman and the thought made him sad.
Twenty two years of knowing each other and almost two years being together, and yet, there were still things about her that he didn't know about. It could be exciting but in this case it was heartbreaking.
Her thoughts that they might not be meant for each other seemed to be true. The superstitions might be true. Their marriage seemed to be falling apart. There just seemed to be no way that they could find a compromise despite their love for one another. She was right. Love was not enough. His heart ached as he thought about it and a tear dropped from his eyes.
"Sebby honey, are you okay?" Her mother's voice broke through the depressing thoughts in his mind.
"I'm fine, mom." He said as he wiped the tear from his cheek and gave her a forced smile.
"Oh Sebby, my darling son. Don't lie to me. I know you're not okay. Talk to me." His mother said, patting his hand in encouragement.
He took a deep breath and let it go.
