Love….Happiness….Peace and the joy of raising a child…..Unlike the other magical creatures in this world we live in, these four things have been deprived from us with certain rules shackling us. With these things  deprived, we were forced into sealing away our hearts. Including me….
…..But, I can't seem to understand…..why?…..why was it that someone, despite what we were….and this never ending curse cycle that followed us...they'd still come for us and we'd fall deeply and forget the curse following us...that never ending curse that moves across generations…..they'd make us feel like it never existed in the first place….
…..However, once our time comes and we leave them…the reason why our  life feels like it is cursed…..becomes quite visible…..because, we are left  with deep regret and sadness. Such was our life…
....
The city was set ablaze and different beings were moving about destroying the place.
In the castle, a golden haired girl was staring at whom she once called her sisters. These so called sisters, were merged together in one body and as such, their hair was made up of different shades of black and their green eyes were also of different shades.
A blazing red fireball was thrown out by the black haired woman and had hit the girl and sent her falling to her death from the palace walls but, the girl was not spiteful.
At the time, the girl didn't feel anything; she didn't hate them but she worried about them and wished she could have stopped them from at least, taking this path. She wished with all her heart that she could have saved them
"I wonder...how did things end up...this...way?" she mumbled as she lost consciousness with tears flowing out her eyes and a white longsword in her hand. She landed in the cold waters of a dam which took her away.
******
That fateful morning
Neinhart Kingdom
City capital, Rosslyn
A golden haired girl with mystic aqua coloured eyes was walking along the corridors of the palace with her head hung low. Each person she passed by would greet her with a bow and she'd smile lightly at them and greet them back. It was clear everyone that greeted her were all below her but, she still showed them respect and wasn't at all arrogant.
Maybe, it was because of this reason that everyone in the palace and the kingdom loved and valued her, a fourteen year old girl, as the crown princess; even though she wasn't the first child.
Lucia Roosevelt, the third daughter of Melvin Roosevelt was named crown princess by her father, due to her mother being the first wife and the only woman Melvin ever loved. After she turned fourteen, Melvin had ordinated her as the crown princess in front of the whole kingdom.
When the ordination was held, Lucia who had been born with heightened senses had heard the murmurs of the people
'I'm thankful his majesty picked Queen Pamela's daughter'
'The kingdom has a bright future with her'
'I believe the king also saw that the crown princess is just like her mother and more worthy of the throne'
'Who would want one of those devils sitting on the throne? There would have been an uproar'
'It was the best decision'
Lucia couldn't say anything at that time and up until now, she couldn't have said anything. Because, she knew it was all true. It was already a tale known around the kingdom about how her father had married her mother for two years without touching her. According to the servants, her mother had a weak body, but her magic power made up for it, moreover, the advice was for her to not get pregnant. As such, her sisters' mother, Claris, had become the second wife just so Melvin could prolong his time with her mother.
Claris had wanted one of her children to become the next queen, but Melvin had rejected her as such, Claris decided to cause chaos in Neinhart. Melvin had wanted to execute her and burn her body, but Pamela urged him not to and at the end, Claris had a backlash from using too much magic and she disappeared into thin air.
It was at that time that her mother, Pamela, became pregnant. Melvin spent some months with Pamela but after she gave birth, Pamela also died and left her with Melvin. Since then, her sisters, have been trying to get rid of her. If not for her father, she would have been dead many times.
Lucia sighed as she came to a stop in the great room. She stood with a heavy heart as she stared at a portrait of her mother on the wall.
Pamela in contrast to her, had golden brown hair and neon blue eyes. She had her hair braided with beads adorning it and an elaborate red dress on, in the painting.
Lucia was not that different though. Her golden hair was braided in a low fishtail bun and had beads wrapped around it while her dress was simple. It didn't have a full skirt which was the usual dressing of the kingdom of Neinhart and looked more like robes.
The dress was a blue and gold dress with a hug shoulder neckline, poet sleeves and a flared skirt. The hems each had gold patterns around them; it was truly a dress fit for royalty.
In all honesty, one would say that Lucia looked like a prettier and younger version of her mother. However, in the aspects of war and fighting, areas where her mother specialized in, she was completely clueless.
"No matter what they say, I can never match up to you" Lucia said with a disappointed smile "I still wonder why you even gave birth to me...I am neither a good fighter nor am a master tactician nor am I as brave and courageous as you"
"You are also not as strict as her, but I'm happy either way" a voice said from behind her and she lifted her head up, to see her father, Melvin's, smiling face.
Melvin was known as a man blessed by the gods. He was perfect in everyway and never aged a day. The Roosevelt family was a family known for it's bloodline ability, Presence of the Time god, which consisted of a use of time and lightning magic. Only Melvin was known as the second person in his whole family to use the power to its fullest capacity.
Other than that, the powers practically made Melvin immortal and he could only be killed by a heart or something with similar or higher amount of power, like demons, angels and gods. He always looked like a twenty year old and yet, he was already forty-nine.
His spiky medium length hair, was a shouting blonde colour that almost looked golden, his eyes were a beautiful jade colour and his muscular and large frame was something that could only be achieved with the amount of training he had undergone. Despite all that, he was still a gentle and decisive man.
"Dad, welcome back" Lucia said with a slight smile and Melvin kissed her forehead
"Will my beautiful daughter love to accompany her father somewhere?" he asked
"I'd love to"
...
Lucia was staring out the carriage as it rode down the paved streets of the city capital, Rosslyn. Sitting opposite her, was none other than her father, Melvin who was dressed quite laid back in a white shirt with a black and gold jacket hanging over his shoulders, and black trouser and boots.
"Where are we headed to?" Lucia asked and he smiled
"A place...your mother and I loved to visit" he answered and her eyes brightened up as she looked out the carriage and tried to remember each route they took.
Melvin couldn't help but shake his head. Lucia really acted nothing like her mother. Pamela was strict and wore a deadpan look on her face almost all the time. Now that Melvin thought about it, Pamela rarely smiled or showed any emotions, but he could tell, whenever she was with him, she was at her happiest even though here face remained indifferent.
'The main reason she was always like that, was because she was a heart' he thought 'If she didn't have the rules shackling her, maybe...she would have smiled a lot' he stared at Lucia's happy smile 'If Lucia learns about the rules of hearts, I'm sure her smile will disappear'
The carriage continued on for a few more minutes until, it was completely surrounded by lush green trees and out in front was a crystal like lake. Then, it came to a stop.
Melvin stood up from his seat and stretched his hand towards her
"We've arrived, Lucia"
She took his hand and they both got off the carriage. The cool breeze welcomed them and their hair was slightly ruffled in the wind.
Lucia's eyes widened at the sight in front of her. The crystal like water from the lake, the trees and the mountain slightly ahead of her that looked like it pierced the skies with numerous waterfalls bringing forth the crystal like water, perched on the mountain. The sun in the sky and the flowers like sheets on the ground, made it a very beautiful scenery.
"Do you like it?" Melvin asked
"Did you and mum....really visit such a beautiful place?" she asked as she looked at him in awe
"Of course" Melvin said as they walked towards the lake and stood a few meters away from the edge "When something bad was to happen to me or this kingdom, your mother and I, made it so something...or someone here will protect you" he said in a loud voice as he stared at the mountain.
"So, what is it?" she asked but Melvin just smiled and placed his index finger on his lips
"That's a secret" Melvin said as he walked away from her
'Melvin' he heard a voice say in his head and he stared at the mountain 'Is this why you called me here?' the voice asked
'More or less' Melvin answered
'Don't give me that shit you bastard'
'The twins will be merging today. And I'm sure we're in for a heavy battle' Melvin said 'I'll face them on my own and if I lose, I want you to take Lucia and get away from here. Protect her with your life and you can call me whatever damn name you feel like' he added as he turned to look at Lucia and saw her holding her head
"My dear, is everything alright?" Melvin asked as he rushed to her side and she slowly nodded
"I....I think I saw mum..." Lucia said
"What?"
"....It was dawn and mum held me in her arms...she said 'I wish I had been given the chance to raise and love you more than this'" she explained as she looked at Melvin "After that...she disappeared"
Melvin pulled her into a hug and patted her head
'Pamela...please, make your spell last longer' he thought 'So our daughter, Lucia, will live a happy life until she comes of age'
