Ash was unsure about something. He was a loyal soldier to the Alpha. In fact, the best soldier. He would never break the code! But would he? Just this once?
Last night he was patrolling the borders between FoxClaw and WolfClaw. He hadn't seen anything yet but when he got to the river that separated FoxClaw and WolfClaw he saw something in the river.
He hid behind a tree so he wouldn't be noticed. He saw something nice in the water. Someone was swimming! No one has attempted that in forever! The current is too strong and the river is too wide with a waterfall at the end. If your not careful the current will push you to the waterfall! That happens to most right away but this one is talented!
She popped her head out too take a breath and then went back underwater. She was almost at shore! He knew he had to do something but she looked so beautiful. He went over to her as she was drying herself off. She didn't even do it properly with a good shake! Foxes are so weird!
"And just where do you think your going?"
She looked up at him with beautiful emerald eyes and he couldn't help but to stop himself from getting out weapons. Why would anyone want to harm such a beautiful creature?
"Oh! Um, hi! It's nice to meet you! I decided to explore over here in the river! I like going for a swim but everyone is always at the lake and for some reason never over here!" She said. Then she looked like she realized something. " Wait a minute your a wolf! What are you doing over here on Fox territory!"
She growled and got her claws out. Ash was deeply confused.
"You mean Wolf territory? Take a look around." He said gently.
The fox looked around and drew her claws back. She looked embarrassed.
"Oh! I'm so sorry I must have swam on the wrong side! Hard to tell when your swimming!"
Should he arrest her? It was a simply accident. Should he report it? No he would get in trouble for not arresting her. Instead he said.
" It's ok. I'm going to let you off with a warning. Also when your swimming, make sure when you pop your head above water to look around so you know where your going."
"Ok! Thanks for the tip!"
And with that she jumped back in the water and swam to Fox territory.
After that he couldn't help but think about her. She was so cheerful and had no respect for rules. Did he like her?
