I walked in the center of my school's hallways, about 5 girls trailing behind me trying to talk to me.

Hello, my name is Quinn Willow I'm the popular middle school student everyone wants to be friends with, all my friends knew I had the biggest crush on this guy I met 1 month ago.
They all made fun of me because he was a chubby boy — of course, there is nothing wrong with that— he is the sweetest most genuine person I've met, so nice, intelligent, and gentle.

Of course, I had a crush on him, but all my friends just judged based on the outside, they didn't know him as I did. That's why I choose to ignore them today.

It's lunchtime and throughout the day they seemed to stop trying to talk to me, but it didn't bother me I had my friend... who happens to be my crush. I giggle as I carry my tray of lunch from the cafeteria and take my seat right beside him.

-"Thank you for sitting with me." He smiles down at his food.

-"No problem Marc, no kid should eat alone." We both take a bite of our hamburger, but before he could place it back on the tray a kid slapped it away from his hands.

-"Hey!" I yell at the group of boys but they don't stop laughing.

-"What? You need a girl to protect you, Fatty!" One of the boys nudged his shoulder. Oh, how I wanted to knock his teeth out.

-"Why don't you go eat somewhere else." Marc suggested calmly.

-"Sure how about you move, I can't eat when you're close to me." Then move! I think but Marc just got up and pulled my hand so we move elsewhere, but I couldn't just leave.

-"How about you move elsewhere, maybe close to the dumpster since that's where trash like you belongs." I stand in front of him, he didn't seem offended by what I said ...but the fact that his friends went ohhhhh is what ticked him off.

-"Maybe both of you should go and roll on mud, both of you are pig-"
He didn't even finish his sentence when
Marc punched his jaw.

-"Calling me names it's fine but you shouldn't offend a girl, especially one like Quinn." Before I could do anything they launched at each other, punches and kicks.

-"S-Stop!" I try to interfere when one of his friends pulls my hair, making me scream in pain, stopping Marc from the fight.
That's when I spot my five friends just watching with smiles on their faces, I bet they must be enjoying this.

-"Let her go." He frowns.

-"Only if you come with us." All of them laughed including my friends.

-"Ok, geez." He composed himself dusting off his clothes. The tight grip on my scalp is released, and they all left. That's when my friends came to check on me of course I didn't believe them after I saw them smirking and laughing.

I didn't see Marc at school from then on.

A month passed and I was finally on winter break, it was my birthday. A gift arrived at my doorstep a pair of pink headphones! A letter came with them... it was from Marc! What! My heart started to dance with happiness and excitement, I continued to celebrate with my family, as music played in the background.

*1 year*

It's my middle school graduation day! I'm super excited!!! I'm ready to start high school and have an amazing future. We all toast a cup of soda, in my house's backyard.

My dad had hosted a small family gathering to celebrate my really deserved success, top of my class, managed to maintain a scholarship, and graduated with honors.

-"This girl is going to be bright." Everyone in my family supported me!
That same night while my Mom, Dad, Brother, and I were cleaning, a mail arrived on my dad's phone. His face turned pale when he opened it. I pretended I didn't see anything

It's been weeks since I sent applications for high schools but most of them are expensive, so I'll just settle with my hometown one, it will have to do.

-"Kids, we are moving to London." My mom and dad enter the kitchen as I washed the rest of the dirty dishes.
What in the world!!!

-"Are you for real?!!!" My voice cracked.

-"Yes pack your bags we are leaving this Monday." It's Saturday OH MY GOSH I'm so excited.

Turns out my dad's boss needed him to work on something important in London and granted me a 50% scholarship to one of the best private schools! My dad seemed hesitant but this was an opportunity of a lifetime for me.

I rushed to my room and started packing the essentials when I see a pair of pink headphones, and a smile slowly crept on my face. I decided to take those headphones on my neck and not a bag.
Soon we found ourselves on an airplane!
