Most people don't realize
The meaning behind their words
They don't realize emotions are beyond our control
They will never be understandable
Emotions, they waver that is their role
Yet I'd always try to understand them next to you as if to make me feel whole
Because not knowing what caused my shift in emotions felt like I was slowly losing control
Emotions stood still?
I was always confused
Phases of life I thought
Untill the "phase" felt more like a seal of my fate
Emotions were complicated and this was the case
I didn't want another phase
I wanted something with you
And at this moment I still really do
When poetry became slurred words in the corners of my mind
When I wanted things to slow down in time
As I started counting the moments I had with you
That's when I said I'm definitely screwed
