rudy, milton, kim and kam sat in an area just by where jack was showing luke where they wanted the skatepark. rudy was standing, weirdly gazing at a tree, milton and kim were sat on a log and kam was sat on the ground, picking leaves, deep in thought.
"there she is." rudy announced, causing the kids attention to go to him "the old widowmaker. when I was a kid, all I wanted to do was climb that tree. but mother said no, I'd get hurt. well, ma ain't here now, is she?" the man charged at the tree, starting to climb it and struggling.
kamden looked down at the leaf she was fidgeting with, being oddly silent. kamden always hated sitting in silence, it was awkward and uncomfortable. unless when she was upset or angry, which she was. that was her tell, when something with bothering her, she'd be deathly silent.
"you okay kam?" kim smiled at her brunette friend, milton nodding beside the blonde "yeah, you're being really quiet."
"I'm okay." kamden gave a forced smile at them, looking back down at the leaves in her hand. but, the pair didn't give up just yet as kim sighed "kam, you're never this quiet unless somethings bothering you. what's up? we're your friends."
kamden exhaled in annoyance "I said I'm okay, really. I guess I'm just a bit annoyed how jerry..." the girl trailed off before clearing her throat "...and eddie, can just ditch us for some girls they don't know so easily."
