You are Hiori Yo's partner. Despite being his partner, you are well aware that no matter how much you prove your love to your boyfriend -even if the feelings are mutual- he would still very much rather choose his career over you. You have been expecting an event like this ever since you have accepted his proposal, and have been waiting ever since.

It was now the day of his departure. You sat on a bench at the airport, having come early for your boyfriend, Hiori. You couldn't help but be nervous as you stare at the door that has a long queue of passengers exiting from it with their bags in hand.

You look around you as you try to keep your nerves in check, yet you're still filled with dread and anxiety. Not a single moment did you fail to glance at your phone to check the time, knowing how short it is to your last moment with him.

As you're interlocking your fingers with him, you notice him look at you with the most caring look anyone could give. He tries to stay brave and calm for you, even though all the emotions of his impending separation from you is starting to creep up on him. He leans closer to you, pressing his forehead on yours and whispers,

"It'll only be a few months.. Before you know it, we'll be back together again. And I know this distance won't be a problem for us. We'll make it work, okay?"

He asks softly as he looks straight into your eyes. You stare back into his eyes, your own growing glossy. You felt a deep pit forming on your stomach as drops of tears hung on your lashes after failing to hold back yourself from breaking down in a public place.

Your boyfriend notices the tears forming around your lashes. He can't help but pull you into a tight hug, wanting to reassure you that everything will be okay. He wants to ease your worries, and he's trying his best to comfort you as he whispers,

"Don't cry, love. I'll come back to you."

He continues to hold you close to him, giving you a few soft kisses on the head as you continue to try and hold back yourself from breaking down. You bury you head on his chest, appreciating the warmth from his embrace as it may be your last. You raise your head to look at him before asking,

"Promise?"

He gazes into your eyes with the warm and caring look he's always given you before he answers softly

"Yes, I promise, beautiful. I'll come back to you, I promise."

He says reassuringly as you bury your head back on his chest, giving him a quick nod that you got what he was saying. The queue finally got shorter. Hiori turns to look at the line of passengers as his eyes widen.

"It's almost my turn to depart. Do you have any last words you want to tell me?"

He asks you. Your face turns into a frown after you get reminded of his departing. You pause for a moment before speaking.
