It was a cold day. Sanemi and Giyuu were heading back to the masters estate when they were forced to go into an abandoned hut due to a snowstorm. The hut was small and had a singular bed, a small fireplace, and a small bathroom. Sanemi and Giyuu sat besides each other against the door of the hut, trying to keep it closed so that no snow or cold air could get in. The two of them sat there in silence, the only noises coming from the storm outside. This was normal for them both. Giyuu rarely talked, and when he did it was a few words at most. Sanemi could keep a conversation, but he didn't start or receive many as people feared him for his looks and rash demeanor. Not to mention Sanemi hated Giyuu. His "I'm not like everybody else" attitude angered Sanemi. Giyuu, however, didn't feel like that at all. He didn't know why Sanemi hated him, but he didn't feel as he were better than everyone else. In fact, he felt the exact opposite. But he wouldn't let anyone know that, especially not Sanemi. To be honest, he wanted to be friends with Sanemi. He wanted to try and mend the relationship they had. The pair sat there, still in silence, while the storm raged outside. Eventually, Sanemi began to shiver a bit, his small haori and open chested shirt not ideal for cold weather. Giyuu, noticing this, decided to take off his precious split haori and covered both him and Sanemi with it. "Hey, what's this about!" Sanemi yelled out, his voice quivering from the cold. "You're shivering. I figured this would warm you up." Giyuu simply replied. "Tch, whatever!!!" Sanemi Said, getting comfortable, not wanting to admit that this sudden gesture from the normally silent water pillar was very helpful and actually kinda cute. "Hm." Was all Giyuu Said in response. Since the haori didn't stretch that far, they had to scooch closer to one another in order to keep warm. It was getting late, and Giyuu was already exhausted from their mission, so after a while he simply slumped on Sanemis shoulder and fell asleep. This surprised Sanemi, but much to Giyuus surprise, he didn't shove him off his shoulder like he suspected. Instead, he felt a hand reach around his back and pull him closer as a sign of "it's fine if you sleep here, go ahead and get comfortable." From Sanemi. Giyuu smiled softly and then proceeded to drift off to sleep. Sanemi felt a warm sensation on his face, his heart beginning to flutter while butterflies crowded his stomach. Sanemi didn't want to admit it, and neither did Giyuu, but they had both developed feelings for each other that night, sleeping in the warmth of each others rare and warm embrace.
