Later this afternoon our new residents will be here as well as our new Post Garduate Interns. See you in the coffee shop in front of the hospital, okay?" She reminded which we responded to.
Ngayon pala iintroduce sa department yung mga bagong hire na residents at PGIs.
I sighed upon leaving the conference room. Another from duty day pero need parin makipag socialize at gumawa ng paper works.
My fixies and I proceeded to our quarters para mag nap ng kaunting oras. Kailangan namin pumunta sa floors na naka assign sa amin para sa mga kailangang papeles ng patients.
Upon arriving at the quarters agad akong dumiretso sa CR para maligo, mag sipilyo at magpalit ng uniform. Pagkatapos kong mag-ayos ng sarili ay inayos ko naman ang ibang mga gamit ko at naki charge ng ipad dahil na drain ito kakagawa ng endorsement presentation ng buong duty simula kahapon.
I then took a nap na nasa tantya ko ay an hour or two dahil ginising ako ng classmate ko slash duty fixie na si Bom.
"Dara!! Gising na may call up tayong FDs sa 5th floor. May consultant daw na mag rorounds" Bom said at napa buntong hininga naman ako. We were supposed to rest pero kapag may consultant na dumating ay kailan naming sumama sa kanila. Usually they ask us questions while doing rounds.
Tumayo na ko at kinuha ang clipboard ko.
"Di man lang ako nakakain tapos revalida na agad" reklamo ni Bom habang nasa loob kami ng elevator.
Inabot ko naman sa kanya yung isang balot ng biscuit na dala ko "Bilisan mo na diyan, ubusin mo na agad" natatawang sabi ko.
She gladly took it while thanking me.
Pagkarating namin sa 5th floor ay naka senyas na agad si Nurse Kim. "Nasa room 518 na si, Doc Lee. Bilisan niyo at medyo mainit ang ulo" she whispered. Agad naman kaming tumango at dumiretso kung nasaan yung consultant. Saktong palabas na sya ng room pagkarating namin. Naka sunod din samin ang iba naming ka grupo.
"You are late" agad na sabi ni Doctor Lee.
"We're sorry for being late, Doc" we answered simultaneously.
"Can someone tell me the history of the patient in room 519" he said ignoring our apology. Inilibot niya ang tingin sa aming anim.
"Dr. Park?" Bom and I automatically stiffened.
"You Dr. Sandara Park what a unique name? Care to share to everyone what you know about our patient in room 517? Others prepare for the q and a after the history para alam ko if you are studying" he warned my group and went back to me.
"Uhm okay Doc! Respectfully endorsing patient Han Hyo Jin 35 years old female at Room 517. Patient came in with the chief complaint of abdominal pain for 2 days which she described as" I can feel my heart beating so fast and yet still continued...
"Good job Dr. Park" he said after I was done with the whole History and Physical exam of the patient and I took a deep breath while smiling.
"Thank you, Doc!" I said and he proceeded asking my groupmates some questions. Buti nalang talaga ako yung nag admit sa patient na yun kagabi.
After the rounds and a lot of questions which we luckily answered ay finally umalis na si Dr. Lee.
"Juskoooo lunch time na!" Reklamo ni Bom habang hinihila ako papuntang cafeteria.
"What time nga ulit yung sa cafe na meeting?" I asked Bom habang nakapila sa cafeteria
"2pm siszt after nating mag gawa ng paper works siguro"
"Sige bilisan nalang natin para mahabol natin yung paperworks for today"
"Excited na ko! Sana madaming poging interns and residents"
"Nu ka baaaa lagi nalang nakabantay sa gwapo?" Natatawang saad ko.
"Syempre naman para inspired sa duty" she winked at me which I chuckled at.
After namin kumain dumiretso na kami sa assigned floors para mag fill up ng papers ng patients na ididischarge.
I was busy working when suddenly a call up was heard. "All Internal Medicine interns proceed to the hospital lobby at 2pm, again all Internal Medicine interns to the hospital lobby at 2pm. Thank you"
Tinignan ko ang wrist watch ko at 1:50 pm na pala.
I took my phone and composed a text message for Bom.

After naming makompleto lahat na IM interns sa lobby ay dumiretso na kami sa café sa harap ng ospital.
"Nasa VIP room daw sila Doc" sabi ni Haejin yung leader ng group namin.
May isang conference table sa loob noon at madalas dito ginagawa ang mga department meeting.

Nagpaalam naman si Bom na didiretso ng restroom kasama ng tatlo pa naming groupmates-Hyoni, Sulli at Ahreum habang si Haejin naman ay dumiretso ng counter para magtanong ng reservation sa VIP room. Pinauna nila akong pumasok sa pinakadulo part ng café dahil baka naghihintay na sila doc.
Pagkapasok ko sa VIP room ay wala pang tao. I settled in the seat with my back facing the door.
I was busy preparing my notes ng marinig kong bumukas yung pinto. I immediately stood up to greet however arrived.
My eyes widened, a flicker of surprise in recognition but still managed to maintain my composure despite the fact that I could feel my heart beating abnormally fast.
I blinked my eyes not believing who's in front of me right now. He's still looks intense and striking with that sculpted face with defined cheekbones and jawline with dark brown eyes that pierces anyone he puts his gaze at. Unlike me, he doesn't seem surprised seeing me here. Ngumiti ito ng tipid pero walang ekspresyon na mababasa sa mga mata nito.
