"You have chosen to sacrifice a Celestial for the people of this planet. I will spare them, but your memories will show if they are worthy to live. And I will return for judgment."

"Ajak hid you from me well but the barrier is broken. You have connected once again with the Celestials and yet you have used your power against the Celestials."

"With Tiamut destroyed, as a Celestial, I cannot destroy you as well without judgment, but know this, you will be judged. Now that you have connected with us again, your memories too will decide your fate."

"Your friends are in big trouble."

"Your friends are in big trouble."

"Your friends are in big trouble."

——

You sat up in a cold sweat, gasping as the words continued on a loop in your head. Druig was awoken by your movement and sat up beside you, wrapping his arms around you.

"It was a dream," he soothed you as he had every night since Eros had come aboard the Domo. Every night the memories plagued you. And every night, Druig held you close until you fell back asleep. "It was just a dream, my love."

"But it wasn't a dream," you rubbed your hands over your face. "It wasn't. It was real. Arishem took them, and he's going to come for me too."

"We're going to get them back," he kissed your shoulder. "We will."

You had already set course for the asteroid where Eros said Arishem was holding your friends for judgment. He hadn't taken you too, but you knew it was only a matter of time. You would all be judged and humanity would pay the price.

"What if we can't?" You whispered, as if speaking the words any louder would manifest them as truth. "What if we lose?"

"We won't," he said. "We will win, together."

"Druig, I'm scared," you said softly. "Arishem said he's going to come for me too. And we know his judgment will not be kind."

"I won't let him take you," he promised.

You sighed as you turned to face him, your hand on his cheek. "I'm afraid, my love, that you won't be able to stop him."

"He can't have you," Druig insisted firmly. "I know you're afraid, but I will not let you leave me again. Not now that I have found you again. We will stop him, my beautiful Y/N. And we'll do it together. That is a promise."

You smiled softly. Druig always kept his promises.

"Now, come, my love. You need sleep. We'll be reaching the asteroid tomorrow, and we both need rest."

You nodded, knowing he was right. Now that you were together again, there was nothing that could stop you. Already, you had stopped a Celestial from emerging and destroying Earth, the planet you had called home for millennia. You would save Sersei and Phastos and Kingo and everything would be okay, you told yourself.

You laid back down in Druig's arms, wishing you could believe it.

——

You hadn't been able to sleep much longer. You slowly climbed out of Druig's arms and made your way to your studio. It had been your bedroom once, before you and Druig had gotten together. You thought maybe if you could paint something, it would put your mind at ease. It was something you had always done. Painting had been your solace since paint was first created out of stone and earth and minerals.

"Can I come in?" Eros interrupted your thoughts.

"Sure," you said, smiling at him. You had to admit, the brother of Thanos and his little troll had begun to grow on you. Just a bit. "Couldn't sleep either?"
