"i'm fine. you don't need
to be so worried about me."

jisung smiled at minho,
who still had a grim
expression on his face.

"i'm sorry for what
happened. i knew she'd act
like that, but i couldn't stop
her immediately. i should
not have invited you here,"
minho remarked.

the younger one pouts
over what he heard.

"do you hate having me
here?"

as he gazed at him, the
taller one's features softened.
"of course not. i was just
concerned about what
happened earlier."

"don't worry, i'm fine. i'm
just not used to people
asking what my parents do
for a living," he explained.

they sat on a bench in
the hotel's back garden,
both in a trance as they
delved deep into their own
thoughts.

it's peaceful.

it's always peaceful when
it's just the two of them.

and they love it.

"here."

minho accepted a tiny
box that jisung had given
to him.

opening the tiny package
containing a bracelet
with a stone from his birth
month caused him to pause.

"i am aware that it is
not much-"

he was interrupted when
minho hugged him.

"i appreciate it, jisung."

who knows how long they
spent in each other's arms
before jisung pulled away.

he hesitates before asking
him, "min, would you like
another gift?"

the older laughs, "why did
you prepare so much?"

jisung handed him
something after carefully
removing it from his coat's
pocket.

a familiar-looking cookie
was wrapped in cellophane
and tied with a crimson
ribbon as minho's forehead
furrowed in astonishment.

his eyes widen as he
recognizes it. "w-what..."

he grabbed the taller one's
hand and said, "i know you
are so confused right now,
but let me explain."

he admits that he is
anxious, but he no longer
wants to hide it from him.

it's either now or never.

"i like you, min. it's been
quite some time now.
just so you would know
how i feel about you,
i made the decision
to confess to you via
messages."

"my cowardice prevents
me from doing it directly
before... although it makes
me look horrible to admit
this, i took advantage of
the opportunity to get
close to you when it
presented itself."

"i just want to let you
know how much i adore
you now that i have the
confidence to do so."

the younger is full of
emotions and on the
edge of crying, as seen
by the gloss in his eyes.

but it's completely different
from the other one.

he's emotionless.

"m-minho..."

the said boy stood up.

"i'm sorry, i need to go."

and he left.

leaving the blonde-haired
boy crying on his own.
