"Steady... Steady..."
The tension grew stronger and thicker as (Y/n) tongue stuck out her mouth between her lips as her sharp (E/c) eyes stared down the Griever as if she had the target of a gun drawn over the creature's body
"Steady..."
She whispered, Body as stiff as a wall as she moved her hand back while her fingers gripped a string that pulled back the arrow. A small smirk grew on her face with the tongue still out as she let go of the string
The arrow shot forward, Almost like a bullet, It cut through the air before appearing right in between the hungry eyes of a Griever who shrieked in anger when he got pierced
"That's how you do it" She muttered under her breath as the Griever fell off the side of the bridge "You shanks are more reckless than I thought" She laughed as she glanced to the side where she saw the Gladers hiding around the corner "Scardy cats"
"Well, Not all of us are as brave as you girly" Frypan chuckled in disbelief as he walked forward
"I told you already Fry, Don't call me a girly" (Y/n) smiled softly "Come on, Chuckie — You've got the Key, Kid" She chuckled and patted him on the back
"Here" Minho handed her a spear before nudging her "Good one"
"Poor Griever, Wouldn't want to be him" Newt chuckled
"What are you staring at...?" (Y/n) whispered with a teasing smile "Don't tell me you thought I couldn't even use a bow?" She laughed at Thomas's wide-open eyes
"Just... Just didn't expect it, That's all" He mumbled as he walked toward her and they walked behind the group of Gladers
"I can't believe it, We're actually leaving" Jack whispered as he looked around the sewer-like place while Frypan pushed him along
"Hurry along, Don't need the Griever's friends to come as well!" Minho called to the group who looked around like kids at the candy store "Ain't nothing to stare here except slime and more disgusting klunk"
"Yeah right, We're safe — Oh shuck" Winston's eyes widened as they heard the clicking sound of metallic legs against a stone floor
"Quite!" Thomas shouted as he grabbed (Y/n)'s bag and pulled her close to him, All of the Gladers stayed silent, Deadly silent in the (H/c)'s opinion whose heart dropped to her stomach as she quickly shut her gaping mouth
"GRIEVER!" Jack screamed as in fact, A Griever climbed onto the bridge before striking at them
"Run! RUN!" Minho screamed to Chuck and Teresa who were in the front "Get your spears, everybody!"
