Chapter 1

Ye Fu woke up from a hangover and slowly regained her senses. She had been reborn and returned to the time three months before the onset of the natural disaster.

As Ye Fu reflected on her previous life, her hands trembled. On April 1st, a rainstorm swept across the world, leading to power outages and flooding. Countless people lost their lives and homes. The rainstorm continued for two months, causing landslides, reservoir breaches, city-wide flooding, and the collapse of houses...

Finally, after two months, the rainstorm subsided. However, the aftermath of the floods, black acid rain, high temperatures, and water pollution resulted in a catastrophic situation. The most horrifying aspect was the arrival of corrosive acid rain. If it fell on someone's skin, it would cause instant festering and a foul smell.

Ye Fu had survived the insect plague in her previous life, which occurred five years after the onset of the natural disaster.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm down and stop dwelling on her past life. As she looked around the familiar room and thought of her parents, her heart ached.

Ye Fu was an abandoned baby, discarded in a trash can with her umbilical cord still attached. She was fortunate enough to be found by her adoptive parents, who were both doctors. Her adoptive mother couldn't conceive due to physical reasons, so at the age of 43, she rescued the dying Ye Fu from the trash can.

When Ye Fu turned 17, her mother passed away from stomach cancer. Two years later, her father also followed. Ye Fu felt a mix of sadness and guilt, as she had never been able to support them.

Wiping away her tears, Ye Fu glanced at her phone and felt her heart race.

Today was January 1st, and she had three months to prepare. Due to her father's sudden passing, Ye Fu had taken a break from school, but she hadn't moved her belongings out of the dormitory yet. It seemed like she still needed to go back to school.

Entering the room, Ye Fu looked at everything she was familiar with, and her eyes turned red. She had lived through the end of the world for five years, and her heart had grown cold, but her parents remained the softest part of her heart.

On the dresser, there was a family heirloom that her mother had prepared for her—a jasper bracelet. Ye Fu picked it up and put it on her wrist, but suddenly, a burning pain surged from her wrist. She looked down and saw that the bracelet was missing, leaving behind a circle of thin red marks.

Within her consciousness, there existed a vast storage space.

Ye Fu's heart raced. To confirm her discovery, she picked up a comb and silently thought, "Retain." The comb instantly disappeared from her hand, reappearing in the space the next second.

She continued experimenting, collecting various items such as watches and hot water. Ye Fu finally confirmed that she could manipulate and store items in the space with her consciousness, and time within the space remained frozen. With a thought, she took out all the passbooks and bank cards at home and began to assess her assets.

In her previous life, the sudden natural disaster caught everyone off guard. Due to her father's death, Ye Fu was in a daze and hadn't stored much food at home. Reflecting on her past, she touched her wrist and silently resolved to live longer and better in this life.

Throughout their lives, her parents had been diligent and frugal. The house they lived in was located in an old community built 20 years ago, and now it had been transferred to Ye Fu.
